Candidates who are interested in joining full time / Part time Ph.D programme with Loyola Institute of Business Administration, can go to the following link and register with the University of Madras. https://exam.unom.ac.in/phd/frmindex  through online.

The filled in application has to be submitted to LIBA on or before 1st July 2023The selection committee will scrutinise the applications and the candidates will be called for a written test and an interview.

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

Since 2005 LIBA has been supervising theses leading to Ph.D. Degree in Business Administration. The PhD Degree programme is affiliated to the University of Madras , Chennai. The Ph.D. programme is offered in disciplines such as marketing, finance, economics, systems, human resource management, decision sciences, operations management and supply chain management and other areas related to management and allied areas of research. The Institute offers Full Time as well as Part Time Ph.D. Programmes.

• To provide PhD Scholars with supervision of high standard for theses that focus on relevant and innovative areas of research.
• To accompany the PhD Scholars in their formation to become expert in their fields of research.

TSM offers a doctoral degree in Management who seeks a career in academia, consulting and research. A research career is valued, not only in academics but in the corporate world also. Industry researchers can expect faster growth than an average corporate career.

The PhD programme at TSM is affiliated with Alagappa University. TSM is a high-performance institute with faculty constantly driving themselves in research with keeping pace with the changing business environment and management practices.

TSM conducts a lot of research development programs and executive development programs; this allows the researchers to have a blend of knowledge to understand the managerial problems and how to solve them.

Minimum Duration

M.Phil. Degree Holders: Full Time – 2 years Part Time – 3 years

P.G. Degree Holders: Full Time – 3 years Part Time – 4 years

Maximum Duration

Upto five years from the date of registration. However, the research period can be extended after getting prior approval from the University.

Admission guidelines

Based on the academic record and the performance of the candidates in the test and the interview, the Departmental Selection Committee will recommend the names of candidates found suitable for admission to the PhD programme.

After the approval by the Director, the candidates will be admitted to PhD programme subject to final approval by the Alagappa University

Fee includes access to the Library, Study material, E-journals, Coursework and other Miscellaneous expenses.

TSM Doctoral Programme

Candidates with Post Graduate Degree (First Class) in Management or related subjects are eligible for enrollment in the Ph.D. program (Refer Alagappa University Guidelines) .  The Institute offers Full-time as well as Part-time Ph.D. Programmes. The candidates can undertake a PhD in Accounts & Finance, Economics, Human Resources, Marketing & Strategy, or Operations & Supply Chain Management. Allotment of research scholars to Supervisors will be made by the Dean of the Doctoral Programme taking into consideration the research interests of the research scholars and supervisors. Every scholar registered for the PhD programme shall work under the continuous supervision of a supervisor.

Every student provisionally registered for the PhD programme shall undergo course work in the first year as suggested by Alagappa University.
