Candidates have to fulfill certain criteria for admission into Nalanda Open University (NOU) which are mentioned below:

• Students must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized university for applying in UG courses.
• For the B.Ed course, candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 45% marks and must have 2 years of teaching experience.

The university offers Postgraduate Diploma programmes in six specializations. The minimum eligibility for a PG Diploma course is that applicants must have Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized university. Also, the selection of the candidates for the PG Diploma program is done based on the merit in the qualifying exam.

Nalanda Open University Ph.D Admission 2023

The university provides a variety of Ph.D. programmes in a variety of fields. Candidate must have completed a Master's Degree or M.Phil with at least 55 percent marks from a recognised university to be eligible for the Ph.D. programme. The Entrance Test is used to select students for Ph.D. programmes.

Note: Candidates who have passed the UGC NET/ UGC-CSIR NET/ SLET/ UGC JRF/ GATE/ M.Phil. with a valid score or who have received a Teacher Fellowship for research from a national body are excluded from taking the Entrance Test.

Nalanda Open University Application Process 2023

The application process of Nalanda University (NOU) is done offline as well as online mode. However, candidates seeking admission into Ph.D. must appear for the entrance test conducted by the university. The offline process of application for admission into Nalanda Open University is as follows:

• Visit the official website and download the application form.
• Fill in all the details in the downloaded application form.
• Candidates need to submit the filled-in application form in person along with the Demand Draft of Rs. 350 drawn in name of “Nalanda Open University, Payable at Patna” to the university address.
• Applicants have to mention the Name, Contact Number, Admission Form Number, and the name of the course they are applying for on the backside of the Demand Draft.
• Once the application form is submitted, it will be checked by the authority and the candidates will be called for the Entrance Test (for Ph.D.)/ Final Admission formalities along with the required documents (Original) and requisite admission fees.
• Application form can also be obtained from the University campuses by making a payment of Rs. 350/- in cash.
• Candidates can also obtain the admission form through post by making a payment of Rs. 400 through Demand Draft.

Method of Assignment

Nalanda Open University Assignment 2023-24 Each student shall be required to submit two assignments of 20 marks in each theory paper of all programmes where no practical/project work is prescribed. For this purpose, the University administration will set out and provide to each student three different topics in each theory paper; out of which he/she will be required to write out and submit assignment work only on two topics of his her choice in the answer book provided to him/her for this purpose by the University. Both the assignments, each carrying equal marks, shall be evaluated for the purpose of examination.

Nalanda Open University Assignment 2023-24 , It is again emphasized that writing of two assignment in each theory paper, where no practical/project work is prescribed, is compulsory and unless it is done and assignment copy submitted to the University on the date of the examination of the theory portion of the concerned paper, the study requirement of the student will not be taken to have been completed and he/she will be declared to have failed. Besides, it has, now, been decided by the University to club the marks obtained by a student in his/her assignment work/project work with the marks obtained by him/her in the written examination of that paper to determine his/her pass percentage in the concerned paper. Hence, it is in student’s interest that he/she submits the assignment work in time. Nalanda Open University Assignment 2023-24 Students are also advised to prepare their assignments very carefully and meticulously. They must write assignment in their own handwriting.

Assignments must be submitted in the answer books provided to the students by the University for this purpose. In no case, assignment written assignment written in private copy will be accepted by the University. In case of loss of assignment copy, fresh assignment copy may be procured from the University on payment of Rs. 100.00 by bank draft. • Facility and the cleaning of the campus and when you enter the exam hall you will be provided water so you don't have to go out and waste your time and the staff are all very good and very cooperative
• There is nothing to dislike in particular except the thing that if you fail in any subject you have to repeat year until you pass

Admission :

I also applied in Patna University i got on the merit list but due the reservations my seat was given to soome sc/st category student not only mine but others also . So i didn't have a choice and i got to know about nalanda open University and i was like it is the best I don't have to attend the classes and worry about my attendance and i can prepare for the government exams ao i applied in it and it is going well. There is not much of eligibility criteria in my college anyone can take admission grades won't affect your admission so be relieved there is nothing like criteria for admission you can take admission in any course you want no matter what your grade is, i think the most preferred course here is BA and the subjects are history and political science because these have the most students in their department

• Faculty members are very educated and experienced.
• Admission process was pretty easy and quick.
• Making bank draft for admissionh it was a hassle and very time consuming.
• Study material were only Hindi for few courses even for the students who opt for English medium. In such case study material were not helpful at all

The admission process was pretty easy as compared to other universities, as there is no such process of entrance test, you just need to have a 50% or above mark in your previous exams. They will provide all the studying material after the completion of the admission procedure. But the only hassle I felt was making bank drafts for admission fees. That takes a lot of time, and it may lead to delaying other procedures which might sometimes take one or two days delays because of bank holidays, etc. The good thing is that although it was a distance learning college it also gives counseling classes to students before the examination to clear all the doubts and queries students have either in any subject or anything regarding the examination.

• Annual 1 time exam which is very good for students enrolled in other courses or preparing for other exams
• Location is very good which is situated at heart of patna i.e Gandhi maidan.
• Irregular exam period and result are very delayed.
• Class infra was not so good. Dirty rooms and windows, tables ,chairs in very bad condition.

Eligibility was B.A(Hons) with 55 percent marks. The application form is available offline and online both. Reservation benefit is available to all girls and reserved category boys. The offline Admission process is very lengthy and complicated so always opt for online admission. The online process is very smooth and efficient. There is scope for correction in the offline process with proper management.

I have opted for hostel.Hostel infrastructure is nice.There are 9-10 hostels of my university so you can get it easily.Rooms are very clean and comfortable. But some hostels are far from university so they come by university bus.

M.Com and didn't given any placement. Becoz it's just like a college not the campus. curriculum activities also there. but make better professional organized by the college. I think it's the best part of everyone's life. best opportunities.
