My Father is Different!

As everyone likes to believe that their father is different, so do I. Nonetheless, this conviction is not merely based on the love I have for him, but also because of his personality. My father owns a business and is quite disciplined in all aspects of life. He is the one who taught me to always practice discipline no matter what work I do.

Most importantly, he has a jovial nature and always makes my mother laugh with his silly antics even after 27 years of marriage. I completely adore this silly side of him when he is with his loved ones. He tries his best to fulfill all our wishes but also maintains the strictness when the need arises.

One of the best things I love about my father is that he has always kept a very safe and open home environment. For instance, my siblings and I can talk about anything with him without the fear of being scolded or judged. This has helped us not to lie, which I have often noticed with my friends.

In addition, my father has an undying love for animals which makes him very sympathetic towards them. He practices his religion devotedly and is very charitable too. I have never seen my father misbehave with his elders in my entire life which makes me want to be like him even more.

My Father Is My Hero: An Epitome of Dedication, Humility, and Compassion

Introduction

In the tapestry of my life, my father is the thread that weaves together values of dedication, humility, and compassion. He is not just a parent but my hero, an extraordinary figure whose influence has shaped the person I am today. His life story is a testament to the power of hard work, kindness, and selflessness.

My father’s journey began with a remarkable sense of obedience and determination, qualities instilled in him from a young age. His parents, my grandparents, often regale us with tales of his unswerving commitment to his studies and the goals he set for himself. Whether it was acing his exams or excelling in sports, he constantly worked toward his objectives. This determination left an indelible mark on his character and inspired not only his siblings but also his peers.

Yet, his brilliance in academics and sports was only part of the story. What truly set my father apart was his compassionate nature. However, what sets my father apart is his belief in leading a simple life. Despite the means to afford a luxurious lifestyle, he chooses to live in a modest flat. His values of contentment and minimalism are lessons he imparts to us daily. He teaches us that happiness is not found in material possessions but in the simplicity of life and the richness of experiences. These values have shaped our worldview and instilled in us a profound appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.

One of the most awe-inspiring facets of my father’s character is his commitment to giving back to society. He dedicates a significant portion of his earnings to social work. Descriptive Essay on My father

This article is about how a perfect father looks to us and his role in our life.

People may say that a perfect father does not exist; in fact, I do not know if that is true, but what I do know for a fact is that an excellent father to me: Everything in my father is special; the way they dress, the way they move, the way they behave, the way they talk, etc. Sometimes, it would be great to be a small percentage of it. But first, let’s talk about what dad looks like.

At first, you could see that his clothes were neat and orderly; However, if you know him as well as I know him, you may realize that he wears all kinds of clothes; strong, dark, clear, cheap, expensive, soft, organized, unorganized, playful. All of her clothes are different, and I love them, but to be honest, there is a jacket I don’t like at all, it is heavy, forehead and in my opinion a little oldie. His clothes fit well with the way he looked. My father was tall and thin; he always cut his hair and grey. In other words, my dad’s appearance is simply unique.

If I look at her, I would say that the way she acts and moves is an important part of her personality. For example, the most depressing thing is that he often walks very fast; this may be why he is so thin, he walks so much everywhere, and I often believe he does not walk; he runs! Taking the way he eats, he has some way of twisting his tortilla and making some lump and then chewing it without noise; he loves to eat, and every time I eat with him, I wish I could enjoy the food as he does. When he eats, he does not speak; however, when he says it is another matter. When he speaks, it is easier to notice how he speaks because he is always rude; when he has doubts, he always smiles when he is happy, and he always stays honest when he is worried. His words make it even more interesting to listen to him.

He is the kind of person who is interesting to listen to. I would say that I would learn something if I heard him. Whenever I want to be honest, I always go with my dad because he gives me his opinion from the bottom of his heart. On the other hand, when he needs to tell me something, he waits for the right moment to say to me, somewhere quiet and comfortable. And if it is a bad thing, he always tries to give me advice; when he gives me advice, it is important to me because I feel the support that everyone needs; when my father supports me, I feel confident and safe.

The father is the kind of person who does not show much emotion. But I would say he can; however, when she and I are not like that, she may not kiss and jug me every day, but when she does, it becomes what I think is the most sincere action that a person can do ask for. When e kisses them, I feel warm and loved, her firm skin becomes soft. In conclusion, some people may think this article is a little cheesy, and it probably is, but I do not care because there was no one else I wanted to describe. I have a great opportunity to have this amazing dad.

Last Updated on January 13, 2023 by Dr Sharon Baisil MD

Without having a true familial connection, male role models are men who assume the characteristics of a father to others. But, it just depends on your story and characters because “the qualities of a father” differ across people, families, cultures, and periods. Posing a paternal figure in any way is OK.

Figuring out how these two individuals met, what caused them to form a parent/child relationship, and what kinds of behaviors he does to sustain the connection is probably a good place to start. You might also draw inspiration for your work from these well-known “father figure” instances.

Father figures are an important part of any child’s life. They provide a sense of security, guidance, and support, and can play an important role in helping a child to develop strong relationships. Father’s Day is observed every year on June 3rd, the third Sunday of the month. It was created to honor fathers and father figures who have left their children’s lives but remain in their hearts. Father’s day is considered a day when one can show gratitude towards his father or honorary dad while sending him gifts that are meaningful for himself and others should he still be alive today.

From a romance novel , who is your favorite father character? Come share your thoughts in the comments!

#1 Protective

Who doesn’t love a hero who, even in the most trying of situations, is always protecting his loved ones? Of course, fictional dads have a lot of unusual chances to demonstrate how far they’ll go to protect their families in the realm of love.

In SECRETS RESURFACED by Dana Mentink and Chad Jagger, Chad Jagger, who believes he is the father of private investigator Dory Winslow’s kid, finds out that he isn’t. While doing what is right and protecting his family, Chad Jaggert discovers that he isn’t the father of Dory Winslow’s kid.

One of the many excellent qualities we seek in the dads featured in our love books is their capacity to deal with big changes and continue forward in a loving and supportive manner. Being able to do so is part of what makes you a good partner, and unexpected things can happen in both real life and our favorite books .

Wes Bishop questions his capacity to be the father to his daughter, which is shown in A FATHER’S PROMISE by Mindy Obenhaus. He refuses to let his self-doubt or past tragedies get in the way of taking care of those he loves when he discovers he has a family.

If you want a good tale with a hero opening up and joining his new family, we suggest HEALED BY HIS SECRET BABY . Benda Jackson’s QUADE’S BABIES , which is part of the two-in-one FLAMES OF ATTRACTION collection, is why we adore it. When Quade Westmoreland learns that his passionate night with Cheyenne resulted in three babies, he is taken aback. Due to his discovery of parenthood, Quade is overjoyed at the prospect of starting his own family and new additions to the Westmoreland line!

Related FAQs

What does it mean to be a ‘father figure’.

One of the most enjoyable experiences you’ll ever have as a parent figure is watching your kids develop. Essentially, it is someone who provides guidance and support during tough times and helps to raise children into healthy adults. A father figure should not just be there for special occasions like birthdays or Christmas, but should also be an everyday presence in their lives. This role involves doing things like taking them to school, helping with homework, ensuring that they are keeping up with their studies, providing discipline when necessary, and more importantly being there for emotional growth.   Any family member or friend can serve as a father figure, especially if there is an existing relationship with the child or children. For instance, if parents are raising teenagers, having a close male friend involved once a week could be beneficial in helping to mold responsible and productive young adults.   There’s no set formula as to how much time or effort needs to go into being this kind of dad (or mom), but simply being present and willing to step up when needed will usually do the trick!

What does not having a dad do to a guy growing up?

Many important things not having a dad does to a guy growing up. Some of the most significant include experiencing early development challenges, a lack of male role models, and feeling like he doesn’t fit in. All of these elements have the potential to have long-term implications for mental and physical health.   It is also worth noting that boys who grow up without their fathers are more likely to engage in risky behaviors such as smoking, drinking alcohol excessively, or engaging in dangerous activities outdoors. These harmful habits can lead to problems later on in life including jail time or addiction issues. All of this underscores why it’s so important for fathers to spend time with their children while they’re still young.

Apart from the five things, what else should I do as a father figure?

As a father figure, there are many other things you can do. These include being available for talks or counseling sessions, providing financial assistance when needed, participating in family fun activities, and fostering healthy relationships with your children. You can also mentor other fathers to help them learn about being good role models for their children. There is no single right way to be a Father Figure – what matters most is that you take the time to get involved and provide support where it’s needed most.

In this article we’re going to discuss the qualities of a good father all dads should strive to have.

* disclosure : some of these links might be affiliate links.

Introduction to the Attributes of a Good Father

There are many things needed for the success of the family.

Along with that for the successful development of kids.

Good fathers and good mothers are an essential piece in the equation.

Society at times tends to devalue the importance of fatherhood and how critical a father is in the home.

We know it’s not the case and research on fatherhood says otherwise.

I do know as a first-time dad it can be overwhelming.

You might not know which quality is essential to develop.

To make matters worse many times, the information you receive can be conflicting.

(the media doesn’t help, but more on that below)

We’ve come up with our own list of the best qualities of a father.

We hope you’ll find this list beneficial on your fatherhood journey.

What it Means to Be a Father

We’ve covered what being a father means . If you missed it, you should go check it out! Here are some highlights from that article.

For starters being a father can be very challenging.

The definition and even the expectations of fatherhood have changed considerably over the past 10 years.

Unfortunately, a lot of those changes and expectations have not been for the better.

The primary force pushing and defining fatherhood is the media.

According to media portrayals of dads we are:

  • Not important to the family
  • Dumb (Doofus is the term I used)
  • Emotionally Unstable (not to mention emotionally uninvolved)

I want to encourage you to ignore these poor media portrayals.

  • You’re important to the family
  • You’re a role model
  • You’re a gift giver
  • You’re unconditional in your love
  • You’re a disciplinarian
  • You’re a provider
  • Last and most certainly not the least you love your kid’s mother well.

What if I Don’t Have Those Qualities of a Good Father?

Many dads out there are going to look at this list and probably start feeling like they’re being judged or worse they’re not good enough.

I don’t want you to look at these as the measure of a good father.

What I mean by that is don’t look at this as, if you don’t have ALL these traits, you’re not a good dad.

First of all, there’s absolutely no judgment here.

Secondly, do not beat yourself over the head for not having ALL these qualities.

It would be pretty much impossible for one dad to excel at all these traits.

Also, many of the traits we’re going to mention will come easier to some fathers than others.

Your Goals by Looking at these Qualities of a Father

Instead, what you should do is look at these qualities or traits of a dad as something to work towards as you go through your fatherhood journey.

You’ll never be perfect in all of this.

Which is fine.

Perfection is not the point.

It’s all about trying to be better.

You see just because you’re not going to be perfect at it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t strive for excellence.

What Are the Qualities of a Good Father?

1. a good dad loves and protects his kid’s mom.

This is first and foremost on the list because it’s the most important.

If you’re divorced or a single dad this is going to look a little different for you.

So many times, we want to put our kids first and foremost, and it’s not the best approach.

Your focus should be on your wife (their mom) and nurturing that relationship.

Let me clarify something.

I am not saying don’t take care of your kids.

I am not saying don’t love kids.

What I am saying is the best way to love your kids and take care of your kids is by making sure your marriage is nurtured and taken care of.

When your marriage is good and nurtured your kids, and your family is more likely to be taken care of as a result.

No matter how well you love your kids, it doesn’t matter if you’re not taking care of your marriage.

With divorce being as high as it is (some estimates say anywhere between a quarter to a third of all marriages ( source ).

We all know by now the havoc a divorce can have on a family and especially kids ( source ).

2. A Good Dad Provides for His Family

If you asked most guys what they felt their primary role as a father was, more likely than not they’re going to say it’s to provide.

This is the stereotypical role of a father.

While I should add being a provider is NOT the only role of a dad (as you’ll see by this article).

It’s an important role nonetheless and part of what we still use to define dads.

A good dad needs to help contribute to the household and make sure their family has the necessities.

(food, water, and shelter)

A good dad should be able to hold down a job.

By holding down a job, you’re demonstrating to your kids the value of a good work ethic.

For the dads that are stay-at-home fathers, you’re not off the hook for providing for your family.

The way you provide just looks a little different.

When a stay-at-home dad is providing it could be by making sure the kids are taken care of.

Or making sure the household is in order.

3. A Good Dad is a Disciplinarian

You never have to teach kids how to lie and be bad.

They just know how to do all of that. But you have to teach them how to be good.

That’s where discipline comes into play. Good dads know that they should discipline their kids.

They also know it’s important their discipline is coming from a place of love ( source ).

  • You need to be consistent in your discipline.
  • Firm in your teaching.
  • Most importantly loving in your actions.

4. A Good Dad is Not Focused on Raising Good Kids but Good Adults

Your kid is going to spend more time as an adult than as a kid.

As a dad, your focus shouldn’t be on raising good kids but on raising good adults who are productive members of society.

This comes in many different forms.

One of the ways is by letting kids be kids.

Which are often not mentioned enough.

Let them enjoy the innocence of their youth, before having the weight of the world on top of them.

This is the challenge with parenting and raising kids.

You know the end game is to have a well-adjusted adult.

At the same time, you have to find a balance between letting them be a kid.

But also knowing when they do have to start bearing the weight of the world, you’ve trained them up well enough to handle it.

The other way is by disciplining and instilling morals and strong work ethics in your kids.

5. A Father Leads by Example

As a father, you’re called to be a leader in the home.

Nothing will diminish your leadership quicker than not leading by example.

Your child is watching you ( source ).

Even when it doesn’t seem like they are.

Let me tell you…they are!

Are you talking about the importance of being polite and respectful but disrespecting your waiter at a restaurant.

…or yelling at bad drivers in the car?

Are you trying to teach them the value of being honest, but they’ve seen you lie?

Your kids are a lot better at detecting B.S. and inconsistencies than many parents would like to believe.

Even when they cannot conceptually see it, instinctively they can feel something just doesn’t seem right.

Think about your childhood and what you noticed when you were a kid.

Do you see what I mean?

6. Dads are Servant Leader

The ability to serve is an important trait.

Leading is not just about telling the ones you’re leading what to do.

It’s also about serving them as well.

The same concept applies to fatherhood.

Some of the concepts that differentiate “servant leaders” from leaders is ( source ):

  • ➫ Humility is an excellent characteristic of a dad who’s a servant leader. He’s not necessarily after the attention and is ok with others getting the praise.
  • ➫ Hard work and the pursuit of excellence not just in your family but in yourself as well.
  • ➫ Selflessness he’s always thinking about the family.

No matter how tired he is, he always seems to have the energy to play with his kids.

There are other characteristics of a father who is a servant leader.

I would like to dive into this a little bit later, but until then.

Dads need to be servant leaders.

Which means you’re leading with a servant’s heart.

7. Fathers are Supportive to their Kids

A dad should strive to be supportive of his kids even when it’s hard.

This is important both when your kids are young and as they get older.

When your children are young, you’re building the foundations they’re going to need down the road.

As they get older, your support can drive them to excel in their endeavors.

I should clarify.

Supporting your kids doesn’t mean you agree with them on everything they’re doing.

It also doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to change some of those behaviors.

What supporting your kids does mean is sometimes it’s just about loving them where they’re at.

8. Father’s are Slow to Anger

I’ve mentioned a couple times about the negative connotation men get when they display what has stereotypically been “feminine” emotions.

So, for example crying and to some lesser extent softer emotions like empathy.

Instead, the emotions dads get portrayed as having is anger.

When they get angry, they then act in a poor manner.

Unfortunately, we seem to be starting to normalize some of these poor behaviors.

Look at the media portrayals of dads for example.

The dads as portrayed by tv shows have the emotional equivalent of a toddler.

I’m not saying don’t get angry.

That would be silly.

You’re going to get angry.

It’s just going to happen.

What’s important is how you act.

The test of fatherhood is your ability to handle those emotions.

Your kids will be watching and learning how daddy handles situations when he gets angry.

In turn, they’ll be learning how they should handle situations when they get angry.

9. A Good Father Loves His Kids

Discipline without love breeds resentment.A good father loves his kids.Your kids should never wonder whether you love them.

Your children should be able to find peace, comfort, rest, and consistency in your love.

10. A Father Needs to be Patient

Patience is a virtue as the saying goes.As a father, your family is going to test your patience on a regular basis.

As challenging as it may be, each day you need to pass your test.

How you react in those circumstances could be what defines you in the eyes of your kids.

For example, the thought of teaching your child immediately comes to my mind. How do you handle it when you’re teaching your kids a skill?

What about when your tutoring them and they’re not learning it as fast as you would like?

Do you get angry?

Do you yell at them?

Or do you continue to be patient with them?

Do you continue to keep encouraging them?

11. Good dads are Dependable

Good dads should be a man of his words.

His family should be able to count on him.

But most importantly, when he says he’s going to do something his family and especially his kids know it’s going to happen.

If you tell your kids you’re going to be there for their soccer game or football game (or whatever it is) you need to be there.

If you get into a habit of breaking your word to your family, they’ll soon learn

“we can’t depend on dad.”

You don’t want that.

12. Kids Need a Dad that’s Compassionate

I think compassion doesn’t get brought up enough when it comes to dads. Compassion is sympathy or pity for someone else during their suffering.

With that being said can you not see how valuable that attribute is for a dad.

Your child for the next 10+ years is going to think the world is ending for every scrapes, bumps, and heartbreaks.

You don’t have to like it. You should coach them out of it. But remember the compassion. You might not think it’s a big deal. Honestly, most of it won’t be, but it doesn’t matter. You were a kid once.

To them it is, so try to meet them where they’re at and coach them out of it.

13. A Playful Dad is Important

Kids love having fun, and they’re good at it (sometimes at the expense of a furniture or wall).

Kids learn a lot through fun and play ( source ). Even when it’s not about learning, sometimes it’s just about the playing.Remember when I said above let kids be kids?

Along with that join them. Dads need to be able to play with his kids, have fun and just enjoy life with them.

14. A Good Dad is Present and Involved

The expectation for dads is to be present in the family.

We’ve already mentioned the consequences of an absent father .

Your fatherly role is not just about working and providing for the family.

Don’t get me wrong it’s one of your roles and an important one.

But it’s not the only role.

The interesting thing is to your kids being a provider will not be the most important role to them.

What will be, is your ability to be present in their life.

Both on a physical level but on an emotional and mental level.

It does no good if you’re physically there.

But your minds somewhere else.

15. A Good Father is Proactive

A good dad is proactive instead of being reactive.

What’s the difference you ask?

Being proactive means making changes when you see something that could go wrong.

Being reactive is making those changes only after things go wrong.

For a dad this can vary from time to time.

It could be your parenting style.

Maybe it’s your relationship with your children.

Or your wife.

Either way you want to resolve problems before they become problems.

Conclusions

There are many important attributes of a good father. Many of them we didn’t mention. What we did is hit on some of the qualities we believe to be very important.

A couple takeaways:

  • This list is not a way to make you feel like you’re inferior
  • It’s also not a way for you to feel like you’re being judged.
  • Great dads will probably not excel in all these qualities and traits. But they are still trying.
  • You’ll probably notice that many of these are both qualities of a good father and husband.

What qualities of a father did we miss?

Thank you for reading this article.

Please take a moment to share it so we can help other dads.

I’d like to say this article is based purely on one’s opinion of a good father and is not written in stone like the 10 commandments. True it states you may not be good at all these things on the list, but this list fails to take into consideration everyone’s situation in a marriage or as a father varies a little. This is a self written list on what one person’s opinion of being a good father is. No one should take it to seriously.

How to Write a Character Sketch

Every one of us has at least one favorite character from the novels we love. But we often find it difficult to summarize our favorite character within a few words. The character seems larger than life and words never seem enough to portray them fully. A character sketch simply summarizes the key personality traits, background, behavior, and nature of a particular character. So, if you are wondering how to write a character sketch , this blog brings you the essential features, tips, and examples you need to curate an amazing one!

This Blog Includes:

What is character sketch, how to write a character sketch, character sketch format, tips to write a character sketch, best character sketch examples, character sketch of a teacher example, example character sketch of best friend, character sketch of neighbour, character sketch of a fictional character, character sketch assignments.

A character Sketch is a piece of text that can give a brief overview of a particular person or character to a reader. Getting an idea of how to write a character sketch greatly helps in sharpening your observational skills. Practicing a character sketch enables you to improve your summarizing skills, which benefit you in various exams. Also, it is one of the necessary skills for a person intending to pursue a career in creative writing, English literature, or even teaching.

A character sketch can be written about any character in a novel or a story, a famous person in history, or even a person you know. It introduces the reader to a particular character while providing a swift and precise overview of all their attributes. Below are some points that will guide you in writing a character sketch:

  • Research about the Character : To begin with, jot down their physical characteristics, personality features, emotions, etc., which would give a general idea of what includes the most important traits of the character that need to be focussed on.
  • Create a descriptive snapshot of the character : The best character sketches are detailed to include specific important traits, but you should avoid making it seem like a full history of the character. Start with making a rough draft initially, then re-read and revise it till it attains a satisfactory standard. Proofreading your character sketch is necessary to avoid any possible errors.
  • Use short, crisp sentences : While writing it is essential to remember that the character sketch aims to introduce the reader to the character and to provide an understanding of the character’s personality. The character sketch should help the reader easily form a visualization of the character when reading the character sketch.

Knowing the most necessary parts of a character sketch is essential. Observing an individual’s physical features as well as overall personality characteristics is crucial to sketching out their character on paper. Here is the format of the character sketch:

  • Personality Traits : It is important to define your character’s personality and physical traits in detail to help the reader visualize how they look, behave, talk, and act.
  • Add a Back Story or their Background : To give more depth to your character sketch, you can also inquire about what their story is, any particular thing that they always mention about their past, or their overall background so that the reader can better relate with the character. Adding a back story can further give more allure to your character as you will go beyond how they look or their personality traits.
  • How they Changed or Evolved over the Years: If you are writing a character sketch of someone you have known for a long time or a character you have read from a novel or short story, then you must also include their evolution and development over time. Mention how they have evolved as a person, what major changes you have noticed about them or how they see the world now as compared to before.
  • How they Talk and Act Around People: Observing someone, you must always analyze how they act around other people, whether acquaintances or strangers. You can also write about how the person talks about something they are passionate about or even their perspective on life. This is another way to write an excellent character sketch that will bring any simple character to life!
  • Their Impact on You or Those Around Them: Another way to make a loveable character is to intensify the effect they have on people and even yourself. Observe how the person behaves with others, whether they are sincere, honest, or people-pleasing, these characteristics will further make your character sketch even more human and interesting to read.

Now that you have a general idea about how to write a character sketch, mentioned below are some tips you can glance through to enhance your writing and observational skills for the same:

  • Focus on both the physical and non-physical features of the character.
  • Use words that help in the visualization of the character.
  • The description should be well-structured, clear, and concise.
  • The character sketch should provide a total outline of the attributes of the particular character. It should be written in a way that answers all the questions that the reader might have regarding a character.

To further explain how to write a character sketch, here is an example of the character sketch of Anne Frank, the youthful writer of the famed “The Diary of a Young Girl”:

Anne, the author of the diary, is a thirteen-year-old feisty girl who is more confident in writing down her thoughts in her diary than sharing them with people. While being quite close to her father, she shares an emotionally distant relationship with her mother. Throughout the diary, she grows from an innocent, stubborn, and somewhat spiteful girl to a more politically conscious, self-aware, and introspective girl of 15 years. She tries to keep an optimistic attitude even in the concentration camp she is moved to, where she dies before reaching the age of sixteen.  Anne was a strong-willed and spirited girl, who struggled to keep her optimism alive even in the face of grave fear and danger.

The most simple way to learn how to write a character sketch is to pick someone you look up to and then create their character sketch. So, here is an example of a character sketch of a teacher:

It was the first day of 7th grade when Miss Neetu Singh entered our classroom. She introduced herself and told us that she would be teaching English to the class. She was a fair woman with big glasses, and long hair and always wore ethnic attire. Before starting any lesson that day and hurrying towards completing the syllabus, she simply asked everyone to introduce themselves. Miss Singh brought us many engaging games to learn the grammar basics and further helped us understand every chapter with perfection. Even with the timidest of us, she was patient and understanding and taught us to honor the learning process. She convinced our principal to field trips to many literary plays and introduced us to many popular writers and poets that went even beyond our curriculum. She remained the favorite teacher of 7th grade and the whole school and there was not a single class of ours that wasn’t filled with interactive and fun learning.

My friend Akanksha Guliani has been my real support through thick and thin in life. After being friends with her for the past 17 years, I was so thrilled today when I received the news of her getting married. I still remember the first day when I saw her in class, she was sitting on the second bench wearing glasses and adjusting her curls behind the ear. She had a round face with a cheeky nose and hazel brown eyes. She was a happy-go-lucky girl and always seemed helpful. Back then she was taller than me as she had thin legs from which even the school socks used to fall. On the very first day, we sat together and realized how amazingly we clicked with each other. She became my best friend in the class in no time. Being a new entry into the school, her chirpiness helped her in becoming a dear friend of the entire class. Her eagerness to help everyone out with her studies made her the go-to person in the class. I feel lucky to have such a wholehearted person as my best friend.

My neighbour, Mr Sharma is a gem of a person and is recognized as the heart of the entire society. The Sharma family has been living adjacent to us for the last 6 years and now they have become more of a family. Unlike the other uncles of the locality who used to scold us for being naughty, Mr Sharma was always supportive of our naughty deeds. I remember when he caught our ball and I encountered him for the first time. His bold moustaches along with spectacles were enough to scare me but as I approached him, he started giggling like us! I was shocked to see a well-dressed, 6-foot-long man with a nice hat laughing like a child. From that day onwards, Mr Sharma became the eldest member of our group. He used to spend Sunday afternoons with us playing cricket on the ground. His jolly nature and wise thoughts always equipped us with valuable insights into life in the most fun manner. It wouldn’t be wrong to call him the glue that binds us all together!

Raghu is a 12-year-old boy who lives in a small village in Uttar Pradesh. He seems a little small or rather scrawny for his age. He has thick brown curly hair that closely resembles a broom and his thinness makes him coincide with the stick of a broom. The locals often make fun office appearances. On the other hand, the adults never leave an opportunity to call him a weakling because he never speaks up for himself. Well, the reality seems to differ a little as Raghu is one of the most gentle children in the village. Unlike the ones who enjoy their time picking each other’s legs, he mostly approaches farm animals and spends his day with them. He is the only child in the village who can approach any five animals without scaring them. The animals get comforted by his smooth touch and come boys instead of the loudness of the other villagers.

To write an amazing character sketch, you must include the following: 1. Physical Characteristics 2. What does your character do? 3. How do you get to know them? 4. Any personal encounter that you had with the character to understand them better. 5. How is the character by nature? Show instead of telling these characteristics and you will write one of the best character sketches!

A character sketch simply means a description or analysis of a certain character telling the reader about their physical appearance, personality traits, habits, strengths, weaknesses, and history amongst others.

Here are the necessary elements that should be in a character sketch: 1. Physical Characteristics 2. Personality Traits 3. A back story or how the writer got to know about the character. 4. What the character wants or aspires to be 5. How they talk or treat others 6. How they evolved with time 7. Habits/Strengths/Weaknesses that can tell the reader a bit more about the character

A character sketch has a certain purpose for both the writer and the reader. For the writer, a character sketch can help them define what the character is like and how he/she evolves or develops throughout the story while for the reader, it can provide them with a brief idea of the character.

How tracker season 2 will address original character's absence explained by justin hartley.

5 Female Characters Who Will Drive The Narrative In Tracker Season 2

Justin hartley’s tracker season 2 gets an exciting update after its record-breaking debut season, justin hartley may have accidentally confirmed tracker's future beyond season 2 before its 2024 return, tracker season 2 loses its first original cast member.

Tracker star Justin Hartley explains how the exit of an original character will impact season 2. It was reported in August that Robin Weigert, who played Teddi Bruin, will not be back for Tracker season 2 . Weigert, known for her roles in Deadwood , Big Little Lies , and the 2022 horror hit Smile, had been with the CBS show since the beginning. No reason has been given for Weigert's departure. But it has been noted that Teddi's wife Velma Bruin (played by Abby McEnany) will remain part of the cast and is poised for a bigger role when the top-rated drama returns next month.

In an interview with TV Insider , ahead of Tracker season 2's debut on Sunday, October 13 at 8 PM ET on CBS , star and executive producer Hartley was asked to preview what life is for the characters in Colter Shaw's orbit and how Teddi's absence will change the story. In response, Hartley shared Velma's new focus and that she'll be working more with Reenie (Fiona Rene) . He also teased what's ahead for Bobby (Eric Graise). Read the full quote below:

At the end of last season, Reenie decides that she’s leaving her firm and going to go it on her own. She’s got that big life change and, in a way, she teams up with Velma and you’ll see a lot of the two of them working together, which is a really interesting dynamic. They both have common goals with just some completely different ways of going about their business. Bobby our computer whiz, is hacking away. Then we have a couple of really cool surprises coming for Reenie.

Tracker Season 2 Isn't Revealing How It Will Write Off Teddi

The show has a few options.

Reading between the lines, it doesn't sound like season 2 will do anything massive to write off Teddi from the Tracker cast of characters . If it's the case that Velma will embark on a new endeavor, it's unlikely that she would do that if Teddi has been killed or if the couple is going through a divorce. It's possible that Teddi is alive and well , leaving the option for Weigert to make the occasional guest appearance.

Season 1 Main Cast & Characters

Colter Shaw

A lone-wolf type that travels the country looking for cases.

Reenie Greene

An attorney who helps Colter.

Bobby Exley

A computer scientist who helps Colter with his work.

Velma Bruin

Colter's handler, who manages his business details.

Teddi Bruin

Velma's wife, who handles Colter's details.

However, while Velma is focused on her work with Reenie, as was set up around the Tracker season 1 finale , something awful could happen to Teddi, and she could die off-screen . The reports about Weigert's exit do not mention why the actor is leaving the series, and there's been no clarification about how Teddi's absence will be handled within the show. It's possible that specifics are being kept under wraps because the situation with Teddi will evolve into a bigger story. At this point, though, this remains speculative.

A custom image of Jennifer Morrison and Sofia Pernas as their Tracker characters with green, orange, and golden accents

While Justin Hartley's Colter Shaw is at the center of the Tracker story, five female characters will drive the narrative in Tracker season 2.

Tracker , which is created by Ben H. Winters, with Elwood Reid as showrunner, is CBS' biggest show and the top-rated scripted series in all of broadcast TV. Even with these supporting characters, the series focused more on Hartley's protagonist, Colter, and the mystery of his father's death. At least, by pairing Velma in a story with Reenie, the two characters are poised to have more time on-screen. But what that means for Teddi remains an open question.

What's Coming Up In Tracker Season 2?

The mystery of colter's father continues..

Season 1 revealed a lot about Colter's complicated family dynamic, including how Colter has spent his life unsure about whether his brother Russell Shaw (Jensen Ackles) killed their father Ashton (Lee Tergesen). Colter is advised to stay away from Russell. But as if that wasn't drama enough, the season finale of the CBS show reveals that Ashton had an affair with the mother of Lizzy (Jennifer Morrison) . The revelation comes with its own set of complications since Lizzy is Colter's childhood friend.

The CBS hit will have time to flesh things out, and potentially even bring closure to Teddi's story, because executive producer Ken Olin confirmed that Tracker season 2 is planned to consist of 22 episodes.

There's also the fact that Ashton's work for the government turns out to be far more than what Colter was initially led to believe, creating more questions and helping to explain why largely unconnected characters like Teddi did not get a bigger storyline. It's been confirmed that Ackles will reprise his role as Russell in Tracker season 2, starting in episode 2 . In the same interview with TV Insider , Hartley shares: “ Russell’s also pretty heroic in episode 2 and they get involved in this really black ops, kind of strange thing .”

Colter Shaw's Family in Season 1

Russell Shaw

Colter's older brother.

Dory Shaw

Colter's younger sister.

Mary Dove Shaw

Colter's mother.

Ashton Shaw

Colter's father.

Hartley elaborated that the upcoming episodes will dig deeper into the mystery of Colter's family, bringing back Manifest star Melissa Roxburgh as Colter's younger sister Dory. Hartley, known for his role as Kevin Pearson on This Is Us , also states that Jennifer Morrison will direct an episode and likely reprise her role on-screen. The CBS hit will have time to flesh things out, and potentially even bring closure to Teddi's story, because executive producer Ken Olin confirmed that Tracker season 2 is planned to consist of 22 episodes .
