On Sunday, over 700 runners participated in the 34th annual Police Officer Christopher Hoban '80 Memorial Run. The run keeps alive the memory of Christopher Hoban, who gave his life in the line of duty in 1988 at the age of 26, and it serves as the primary funding of the Hoban Scholarship, which provides tuition assistance to children of NYC Police Officers attending Xaverian.
In addition to the course content of English 9, the Honors section includes a challenging summer reading list, independent projects and presentations and at least four major writing assignments covering different styles of writing (i.e., narrative, persuasive, expository, compare and contrast, etc.).
