Critical Thinking in Hindi – क्या है क्रिटिकल थिंकिंग और इसके फायदे

किसी भी देश और समाज के लिए Critical Thinking का महत्व बहुत ज्यादा है । किसी भी पक्ष के अच्छाइयों और बुराइयों को पूरे आंकलन के साथ उठाना, उसकी बारीकियां समझना तब जाकर कोई फैसला लेना ही क्रिटिकल थिंकिंग की विशेषता है । अक्सर आलोचनात्मक सोच को निंदा से जोड़कर देखा जाता है और माना जाता है कि इसका अर्थ सिर्फ और सिर्फ कमियां निकालना ही है ।

लेकिन ऐसा बिल्कुल भी नहीं है । उदाहरण के तौर पर, भारत में लगभग हर हफ्ते ही कोई न कोई फिल्म रिलीज की जाती है । फिल्म रिलीज करने के तुरंत पश्चात कुछ Film Critics फिल्म को देखते हैं, उसकी बारीकियां समझते हैं, फिल्म समीक्षा के विभिन्न मानकों पर फिल्म को तौलते हैं तब जाकर Ratings & Reviews देते हैं ।

इन रिव्यू में सिर्फ और सिर्फ फिल्म की अच्छाइयां या सिर्फ बुराइयां ही नहीं होती, बल्कि दोनों का मिश्रण होता है । एक सही समीक्षक उन दोनों पहलुओं को सटीकता और पूरे विश्लेषण के साथ उजागर करता है और बस यही है Critical Thinking । यानि जो कुछ भी घटित हो रहा है उसे आंखें बंद करके मान लेना नहीं बल्कि उसके हर तथ्यों की जांच करना, जानकारी जुटाना और फिर उसके बुरे अच्छे दोनों पहलुओं पर ध्यान देना ।

Critical Thinking क्या है ?

Critical Thinking को हिंदी में आलोचनात्मक सोच भी कहते हैं जो किसी भी स्तिथि, विषय या घटनाओं की बारीकियों पर तर्कसंगत रूप से सोचने, तथ्यों का विश्लेषण करने और सही गलत दोनों पहलुओं को उजागर करने की कला है । इसके लिए तठस्थ होना बहुत आवश्यक होता है ।

इसे आसान से उदाहरण की मदद से समझिए । मान लेते हैं कि आप किसी गांव के निवासी हैं और आपके यहां हर 5 वर्ष में प्रधान/सरपंच के चुनाव कराए जाते हैं । इस बार भी एक चुनाव है और चुनाव में खड़ा व्यक्ति आपसे कहता है कि अगर मैं जीतता हूं तो आप सबको हर महीने 3,000 रुपए दिए जायेंगे । यह सुनकर कई लोग ऐसे होंगे जो उसकी बात पर भरोसा भी कर लेंगे ।

लेकिन अगर आप Critical Thinking वाले व्यक्ति हैं तो आप तुरंत अपने गांव की जनसंख्या और दी जा रही राशि का आंकलन करेंगे । आपको समझ आ जायेगा कि इस तरह इस व्यक्ति को 500 परिवार वाले इस गांव में 15,00,000 रुपए खर्च करने होंगे जोकि बिल्कुल भी तर्कसंगत नहीं है । इसके अलावा सरकार भी बिना हिसाब किताब के ग्राम पंचायत के राजस्व विभाग में इतने रुपए नहीं भेज सकती । यानि सामने वाला व्यक्ति झूठ बोल रहा है ।

सबसे महत्वपूर्ण सवाल यह आता है कि आखिर Critical Thinking की कैसे जाती है ? क्रिटिकल थिंकिंग करने के लिए आपको किसी पढ़ाई, डिग्री आदि की आवश्यकता नहीं है । आप मात्र कुछ प्रश्नों के माध्यम से हर परिस्थिति को तार्किक ढंग से एनालाइज कर सकते हैं । चलिए सबसे पहले उन प्रश्नों पर नजर डालते हैं इसके बाद हम विस्तार से समझेंगे कि क्रिटिकल थिंकिंग कैसे की जाती है ।

1. क्या: सबसे पहले जब भी आपके पास कोई इनफॉर्मेशन या परिस्थिति आए तो आपको पूछना यह इनफॉर्मेशन क्या है । यह इनफॉर्मेशन किस बारे में है ? यह क्या कुछ जानकारी आपको प्रदान करता है ।

Life में बेहतर बनने के लिए और लाइफ में कुछ  प्राप्त करने के लिए आपको अच्छे Decision लेने की जरुरत होती है। जब आप किसी problems में फंसे हुए होते हैं उस दौरान आपके गहराई से सोचने(deep Thinking) की क्षमता ही आपको उस problems से बाहर निकलने में मदद करती है।

गहराई से सोचना एक तरह की process होती है जिसमें आप खुद से यह question करते हैं कि कैसे किसी चीज को चुना जाए, क्या सही है क्या गलत है । गहराई से सोचने की power को बढ़ाने के लिए आपको अपने Brain में विचारों को बढ़ाने की जरुरत होती है। कुछ तरीकों की मदद से आप अपने depply सोचने की क्षमता को grow सकते हैं।

• अपनी सोच को दें एक Strong आधार किसी भी question का उपयुक्त उत्तर बिना Knowledge के नहीं दिया जा सकताl जैसे की आप अपने आप से question कर रहे हो कि आपको गुस्सा कब आता है? क्यों आता है? और आप अपने गुस्से पे काबू कैसे पा सकते हो? तो इसके लिए आपको उन स्थितियों का Analysis करना होगा जब-जब आपका खुद पर से Control खो जाता होगा अब ये पता लगाओ कि आप किन तरीकों  से उस situation को या तो दोबारा आने से रोक सकते हो या उस दौरान खुद पर कैसे Overcome पा सकते होl इसके लिए आपको उन Events के बारे में इनफार्मेशन एकत्रित करनी होगी जिनकी वजह से ऐसी situations उत्पन्न होती है कि आप अपने गुस्से पे काबू नहीं पा सकतेl  धीरे-धीरे Collected होने वाली जानकारी एक दिन इतनी विशाल हो जाएगी की आप हर situations के पूर्व-प्रभाव समझने लगोगे और life में हर प्रश्न या problems का हल बड़ी आसानी से निकाल सकोगेl
• Critical thinking में प्रवेश करने का यह सबसे नॉर्मल तरीका हैl बस अपने आप से एक question कीजिए कि आप life में क्या करना चाहते हैं या जो सब आप school में कर रहे हो ये सब किस लिए हैl लेकिन कोई भी question ऐसा न हो जिसका जवाब आपको सिर्फ  हाँ या न में देना होl ऐसे question पूछिए जिनका जवाब देने के लिए आपको knowledge की परतों को छान कर problems को सुलझाने का अवसर मिलेl यहाँ knowledge का अर्थ हम किताबी knowledge से नहीं बल्कि life के Experiences और भावनाओं से ले रहे हैं जो किसी भी situations को control करने में और Right decision तक पहुँचने में आपकी मदद करते हैंl इससे आपके भीतर Critical thinking का विकास सहज ही होने लगेगाl
• जैसे आपको अपने Classmates में से ऐसे friends की तलाश करनी है जो कि आपको सही सगत दे सकेl ऐसे में सही और गलत का अंतर करने के लिए आपको Mind awareness और समझ का उपयोग करना होगाl इसके लिए आप सामने वाले लोगों की वार्तालाप व उनके Physical appearance का Analysis करें जिससे आपके Brain में उनके लिए एक धारणा यानि feel हो पाएl

Critical सोच एक vision है जिसमें person किसी विचार की कल्पना करता है और फिर किसी conclusion पर पहुंचने के लिए ज़रूरी कदम उठाने के कार्य के बारे में सोचता है। इसमें research, जांच, मूल्यांकन, अनुमान और implementation शामिल है। आज की सूचना society में कई व्यवसायों के लिए महत्वपूर्ण सोच क्षमता होना महत्वपूर्ण है। महत्वपूर्ण सोच skill की पाँच-चरण Proccess का उपयोग समस्या समाधान की चिंता को समाप्त कर सकता है।

• Problem को पहचानो

महत्वपूर्ण सोच में पहला कदम problems की पहचान करना है। विचार करें कि मसला क्या है और इसे तोड़ दें ताकि यह problems दोबारा न हो सके। अपने आप से पूछें कि क्या यह problem वास्तव में इतनी बड़ी है। यह Determined करें कि यह problem क्यों मौजूद है और इसके Solution के लिए कोई कदम नहीं उठाया गया तो क्या result होंगे। इसके अलावा, यह determined करें कि हल करने की proccess में कौन शामिल होना चाहिए।

• Information इकट्ठा करें

problems के बारे में अधिक से अधिक सीखना महत्वपूर्ण है। reason और समाधानों के लिए देखें, लेकिन केवल Face value पर तथ्यों को स्वीकार न करें। research और सभी संभावनाओं की जांच करे । मुद्दे के बारे में अन्य लोगों की Opinions and views जानने में संकोच न करें। आपके द्वारा सीखी गई information की Validity और Reliability  दोनों निर्धारित करें।

• Evidence का मूल्यांकन करें

अगला कदम उन Evidence या सूचनाओं का मूल्यांकन करना है जिन्हें एकत्र किया गया है। सुनिश्चित करें कि information सटीक है। यह पुष्टि करें कि यह सिर्फ एक source से आया है और प्रत्येक source निष्पक्ष और भरोसेमंद दोनों हैं। निर्धारित करें कि information तथ्य या राय पर आधारित है या नहीं। उन सभी ways की सूची बनाएं, जिनकी Explanation की जा सकती है।

• Solution पर विचार करें

Evidence मूल्यांकन से प्राप्त findings के आधार पर कई समाधानों के Plan बनाएं। इन विकल्पों में से प्रत्येक के advantage and disadvantage को जाने । यह स्पष्ट करना important है कि बाधाएं क्या हो सकती हैं, साथ ही Solution के किसी भी छोटे या Long term results क्या हो सकते हैं।

• चयनित करना और उन्हें लागु करना 

एक विकल्प पर Decision लेने पर विचार करने के लिए तीन factor हैं। पहला solutions के साथ शामिल risk की मात्रा निर्धारित कर रहा है। दूसरा solutions की Practicality है और तीसरा किसी Priority के साथ सहमति है जिसे पूरा करने की requirement है। एक बार जब solution का चयन किया जाता है और action के लिए रखा जाता है, तो योजना implementation के परिणामों की निगरानी करके अनुवर्ती action की आवश्यकता होती है।

You visit an online news site affiliated with their political party and read an article that criticizes their opponent. The article claims that the opponent is inexperienced in politics. You accept this without evidence, because it fits your preconceptions about the opponent.

There is no single way to think critically. How you engage with information will depend on the type of source you’re using and the information you need.

However, you can engage with sources in a systematic and critical way by asking certain questions when you encounter information. Like the CRAAP test , these questions focus on the currency , relevance , authority , accuracy , and purpose of a source of information.

When encountering information, ask:

• Who is the author? Are they an expert in their field?
• What do they say? Is their argument clear? Can you summarize it?
• When did they say this? Is the source current?
• Where is the information published? Is it an academic article? Is it peer-reviewed ?
• Why did the author publish it? What is their motivation?
• How do they make their argument? Is it backed up by evidence? Does it rely on opinion, speculation, or appeals to emotion ? Do they address alternative arguments?

Critical thinking also involves being aware of your own biases, not only those of others. When you make an argument or draw your own conclusions, you can ask similar questions about your own writing:

• Am I only considering evidence that supports my preconceptions?
• Is my argument expressed clearly and backed up with credible sources?
• Would I be convinced by this argument coming from someone else?
