We’re currently looking to hire a Junior Equity Research Analyst to join Legal and General Investment management.

An exciting opportunity where you’ll analyse companies and evaluate the valuation of their equity, in order to assist portfolio managers in making informed investment decisions.

The role involves conducting extensive research on companies, analysing financial statements and reports to provide insights and recommendations on investment opportunities, including ESG risks. You will work proactively with portfolio managers to identify potential risks and opportunities and develop investment recommendations

• Sole responsibility for maintaining equity coverage of a specified list of companies
• Maintaining financial models and performing forward looking research analysis
• Management and maintenance of any tasks assigned to support the broad investments process
• Building company and sector knowledge (eg monitoring newsflow, attending conferences)
• Constant monitoring of trading opportunities within sector/company coverage
• Presenting ideas and conclusions to portfolio managers and other stakeholders within the business.
• Contribute proactively to meet the output requirements of the Global Research and Engagement Group (GREG) to which they are assigned.
• Undertake company and thematic research and present this through the Global Research and Engagement Groups
• Aid in supporting stakeholders across business with research
• Where required support client activity by supporting investment specialists
• Responsible for ensuring research reports are registered on the analyst team’s research portal via Bloomberg
• Communicate key sector/coverage thoughts via daily morning meeting calls
• Aid the research team in enhance and streamline the overall investment research process
• Support the research team in addressing any ad-hoc requests from across the business
• To be successful in this role you’ll have a good understanding of Financial markets and macroeconomic trends
• You’ll possess excellent analytical skills and an inquisitive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrate strong communication skills as you will be required to present your findings to portfolio managers and other stakeholders
• organised and structured in approach to work
• At least 2 years of experience in a financial markets role- BA/BSc (or equivalent)- Mathematics to A-level (or equivalent)
