Winter Vs Summer Essay: Environment has blessed us with four seasons namely summer, winter, rainy and autumn. This season makes the surroundings more beautiful. Our lifestyle changes according to the weather. We have two totally opposite seasons which fall 6 months apart that are summer and winter. In winter vs summer summers are the hottest whereas winters are the coldest season among the four seasons.
As summer is very hot, people like to keep themselves cold and also have cold food like ice-cream, cold beverages, etc to keep them cold. Whereas, during winter, people crave for hot and spicy food which would help to keep themselves warm.
Besides that, people’s dressing style also tends to change according to different seasons. During winter, people will normally wear thick, warm and woollen clothes. On the other hand, during summer people feel comfortable in casual clothes like jeans, t-shirts, shorts and sleeveless tops to keep themselves cool.

Winters are the coldest season that begins from mid November and lasts till February. December is the peak time when winter is encountered the most. In India, in winter times the days are smaller and the nights get more lasting. The cool mornings with hot drinks like coffee, tea, and hot chocolate give you a distinct sense collectively. The sun rises pretty late in winters. People desire a little sunshine because of the cold climate. Many people like sitting by the fire or heater all day.But, there is also a downside to this season. Poor people who do not have shelters, and animals are most influenced by this season. Many homeless people die due to the coolest winters.
While Summer is the hottest season of the year it lasts from mid or later March to June but they can expand up due to a delay of monsoon. This is the most entertaining and awaited season for kids because their school gets off in the summer season and they enjoy it to the fullest. In Summers the day becomes warmer and nights become cooler and the day is longer and nights are shorter.
Summer is rich in a variety of fruits and vegetables, especially the mango. Farmers prepare their land for cultivation in summers. Moreover, hot summers are very bad for certain things and result in many problems. One problem that it causes in humans which is very common is dehydration. It causes weakness and dizziness and also can lead to death. So, we need to drink plenty of water to keep the body hydrated.Small ponds, rivers, and wells dry up in this season and in some areas conditions like drought occur.
But, this does not make any season less important. While comparing Winter vs summer both the seasons are equally important to maintain stability in the weather of our country.
As a conclusion, food, clothes and activities of people will differ according to the seasons. People adapt themselves to different seasons. In anyways people find ways to enjoy the hottest of summer and the coldest of winter. While summer offers sun and fun at the beach, winter offers a variety of food, clothing and activities.

Winter season is one of the remarkable seasons in our nation. It falls between the autumn season and the spring season. Nights are longer and days are short in this season. Many festivals are celebrated in winter like Christmas, New year, Holi, etc.Winter season is very useful for wellness, farming and planting ornamental plants.People love morning walks in the wintertime because they get some fresh air and also long time workouts which requires a lot of stamina. Because in winters people don’t get tired of working for hours. People don’t fall sick much compared to the summer. This season also proves to be very helpful for farmers too. We often like to go for outings during this season. Winter climate is fun and amusing after the summer and the constant rain.
On the other hand, summer is the hottest season. It falls between March to June. Summer is the time for outdoor activities like going to beaches or cold places.
Also winter has bad effects on plants and trees because of extreme cold while summer shows good effects on trees and plants, allowing them to grow more and produce more fruits.
These Winter vs summer both seasons are extremes. Winter is the coldest whereas summer is the warmest or hottest. Both seasons have their adverse effect on people because of its extreme cold and heat, respectively.
These seasons have different effects on the environment and on the people. However, living things can adapt themselves every time seasons change.

Essay on My Favourite Season Winter
Winter is the best of all seasons and I like this season the most. December, January and February are the three winter months. The weather at this time is very pleasant. In this season we can work hard but do not get tired. We put on warm clothes and enjoy the bright sunshine. The nights are very cold. The night in a warm bed under a quilt is very comfortable.
Paddy is harvested in this season. Colourful seasonal flowers grow in gardens. Fish, vegetables and fruits are also available in plenty in this season. They are very cheap also. This is the most suitable time for holding picnics in the open air. We can go out and hold excursions in winter.
Various types of fairs are held and festivals like Saraswati Puja, Christmas, and New Year’s Day are celebrated in this season. While we enjoy the cool comfort of the winter, the poor people suffer a lot during these months. They do not have warm clothes to protect them from cold. Overall I love this season very much.
My Favourite Season Summer Essay
Of all the six seasons, my favourite season is summer. It is the hottest season of the year. The summer season starts in March and ends in June. In this season the sun shines brightly. The best part of this season is summer vacation. This is a great relief from a hectic schedule, home works, and exam pressure. I enjoy the vacation by going to a beach or a hill station with friends and families. In summer I like to have cold drinks, lassi, ice cream, and coconut water.
We get many fruits in this season like mango, watermelon, litchi, jackfruit, pineapple etc. Many festivals such as charak puja, Rama Navami, Baisakhi, Rabindra Jayanti, etc. are celebrated in this season. There are varieties of fruits and vegetables available during this season. Many beautiful flowers like Lilly, Marigold, Roses, Dahlia, and Sunflower bloom in this season. Summer is just a wonderful season with so much fun and enjoyment.
My Favourite season Rainy Season
The season I like most is the Rainy season or monsoon. In India, this season begins in mid-June and ends in early September. Rainy season comes after the scorching heat of summer season and gives us relief. Clouds float here and there in the sky. Lightning and thunder occur frequently. People can be seen with umbrellas and raincoats. Dry rivers and lakes become full.
Farmers plough their fields. Children become very happy. They make paper boats and dance in the rain. A variety of fruits, vegetables, and crops grow in this season. Beautiful flowers blossom in this time. Beautiful rainbows can be seen in the sky. This season brings a lot of festivals like Raksha Bandhan, 15th August, Teej, Janmashtami, etc. We can enjoy various types of dishes in the rain.
But sometimes heavy rainfall brings the flood. Flood causes many to lose their lives, houses, and livelihood. On the other hand, if there is no rainfall for a long time, drought can occur. This causes extensive damage to crops. So, the Rainy season is an important season for us.

My Favourite Season Spring Essay
The season of spring is dear to poets and lovers. This is taken as a time of beauty, melody and happiness. Spring lasts for a little more than two months-from February to mid-April. The weather in spring is rather pleasant. This is neither too cold nor too hot. There is also no troublesome rainfall. The sky looks clear and blue.
The gentle breeze soothes Trees and lands are all green and lovely. This is particularly a season of flowers and fruit. Different sorts of vegetables too, grow in plenty. The season has the festivals of the Saraswati Puja and the Holi. Indeed many are found, like the poet, to long for spring-“If winter comes, can spring be far behind ?”.

India is a land of seasons. Six seasons come and pass away here. Autumn, however, appears to me the most charming season of all. It covers roughly two months-September and October. Our earth looks fresh and bright with its coming. The cloudy sky and the rainy weather are over in autumn. A deep blue sky smiles and the sun shines brightly. Nature is adorned with grace and charms. The natural beauty of the season is greatly appealing to me.
Autumn is dear to me for another important reason. This is the season for the greatest Bengali festival-the Durga Puja. This is the festival of joy and happiness. It makes one happy. I enjoy in it the happiness of the season.

During the rainy season, the sky remains overcast with clouds. Rains fall continually. But, with autumn, the clouds are no more. A deep blue sky spreads, like a deep blue sea. The white patches of clouds float like little fairy boats.
The day looks golden with the sun shining. The night has a silvery moon, with its silvery luster. The millions of stars, too, sparkle. Now and then, rain begins to fall thick and fast. But then suddenly the rain stops and, again, a deep blue sky smiles. In autumn, the rivers are full to the brim. The fields are all green and golden with crops. Men and women are busy among them, reaping the harvest. Nature and man seem to unite in one mood of peaceful gladness. Autumn is my favourite season.

People do many things to make their lives more comfortable. Thus, they adjust to the four seasons that differ in their weather significantly. Each of them has its own beauty that appeals to individuals. Winter and summer represent the very extremes. They determine the way human beings alter their styles of life. Even though summer seems to be a more attractive season, it is easier to adjust food, activities, and clothes for winter.
People consume different food during summer and winter because their weather affects access to various products and the way they can be stored. In general, human beings have more opportunities to get fresh fruit and vegetables in summer because it is one of the harvest seasons (Bertram). Nevertheless, modern technologies provide them with an opportunity to grow plants during the whole year or at least to freeze products so that they can be used anytime. In summer, on the other hand, extreme heat can affect the harvest, making many products unavailable. In addition to that, the majority of recipes presuppose the necessity to boil, steam or fry food (Abbott). In summer, people do not want to eat worm dishes, so they have to wait until everything gets cold or suffer because of additional warmth. This problem is not typical for winter. Moreover, spending time at home, people still can eat ice-cream even though it is cold because the indoor temperature can be regulated. In addition to that, consuming cold food and beverages in summer, individuals can have a sore throat or other health issues. Such problems are not observed in winter when a person tries to get warm with the help of a cup of tea.
Depending on the season, the average temperature alters, which makes people change the way they dress up. Generally, the summer is hot, so human beings try to wear minimum clothes. They prefer t-shirts and shorts but forget that their skin remains unprotected and it can be negatively affected by the sun (Pallavi). Moreover, they can hardly escape from the heat outdoors. In winter, people usually start wearing worm clothes. They put on jeans, sweaters, and coats not to get cold (Contributing Writer). Thus, they can feel comfortable because they can easily take off/on their outer garments. Those clothes that individuals wear in winter are more convenient. They are usually darker and duller, which presupposes that they can serve longer. Materials that are used to create them are often more difficult to blacken and tear up.
People love summer because it allows spending much time outdoors, but winter’s options are not worse. In summer many individuals go swimming or lie in the sun. However, they can travel abroad in winter to obtain the same benefits. If no, it is possible to visit a swimming pool and a solarium. People can play football and golf in summer. Nevertheless, they can also do it in winter, going to the playing-field (Brooks). On the other hand, it is impossible to make a snowman in summer. There is no opportunity to go snowboarding without traveling to a distant location (Spera). Even using artificial snow, people cannot have snowball fights. Finally, it is possible to dress up and enjoy beautiful weather even in winter.
Thus, it can be concluded that winter is a season to which people can easily adapt, unlike summer. Both seasons have their peculiar features that cannot be substituted. Nevertheless, it is easier to change food, clothes, and activities to align with cold than with hot weather. Modern technologies can create heat, but it is difficult for them to cope with it.

Summer and winter by Percy Shelley
The poem “Summer and Winter” is replete with images. The poet in the poem makes a comparison between summer and winter. Summer represents hustle and bustle. While as winter symbolizes lifelessness. The poet says that in the month of June, the beautiful clouds and sky appear dazzling. The wind from the north soothes the aching nerves. It appears, as if, the sun and the clouds are full of joy. All the things on earth shine out. Greenery is seen everywhere. The river flows quietly at some places and noisily at others, but speaks only of the pleasure which it experiences every time in summer. The fields laden with corn keep smiling and refreshing the minds of bypassers. The reeds, the willow leaves and the foliage of the larger trees shine out in the months of summer and exemplify the naturalistic style of providing solace to the troubled minds.

In the last three lines, the poet makes a marked contrast between the rich and the poor. However warm the rich and their children are, they would never give up complaining about the cold. But the poor can neither complain nor the find the comforting place to escape the freezing cold.
The poem ends on a pessimistic note due to the plight of the homeless beggar, who cannot find any comforting place to escape the bitter cold.
