Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Coordinator.
In this role, the Research Coordinator works closely with the Research Lab Supervisor to coordinate the biospecimens processing and distribution for Clinical trials, Research studies and Biobank; ensures accurate data entry and management, quality assurance and organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for biospecimens collection, processing, storage, and distribution for clinical trials, biobanks and research studies.
- Coordinates supplies distributions, biospecimens collections and biostorage for multi-institutional research and clinical studies.
- Responsible for specimen’s inventory and QC prior distribution.
- Responsible for specimen’s data entry in database (LabVantage/FileMaker Pro).
- Assists Lab Supervisor in clinical trials, research studies audits
- Assists Lab Supervisor solving queries
- Assists on day-to-day biorepository operations
- Provides support to Lab Supervisor training new staff
- Responsible for informing staff about newly activated clinical trials, research studies
- Performs bench work as needed
- Provides support on drafting Standard Operating Procedures and/or work instructions
- Delegates data entry for monthly billing on research and clinical studies
- Maintains adequate lab supplies inventory; assists on ordering lab supplies
- Performs all responsibilities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, CAP accreditation, established guidelines and work instructions, and appropriate industry and Good Clinical Practices standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Communication and Relationship to Other Staff:
- Provides guidance, cooperates, communicates and relates well to all levels of NYULH staff.
- Listens carefully to others in order to respond appropriately, answer questions or obtain needed information.
- Communicates ideas, problems, suggestions, and messages in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintains confidentiality of all research information.
- Functions efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and communicative skills.
- Recognizes core laboratory functions
Judgement/decision-making:
- Seeks guidance as necessary for the performance of duties, asks appropriate questions when in doubt and utilizes reference sources/materials to endure accuracy.
- Advises appropriate personnel of situations/problems requiring intervention or follow-up attention.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field. Minimum of two years of progressively responsible project coordination experience, preferably in a research setting. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Commitment to continuous learning as required by department administration. Ability to operate research related equipment Ability to work and make decisions independently. Time management skills and ability to multitask. Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems: Ability to work well under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in life science or health-related field with 1+ years of clinical or research laboratory experience. Excellent interpersonal communication both through technology and in person. Good analytical skills to evaluate the importance and urgency of problems, ability to solve non-routine issues. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced setting. Strong organizational skills, as well as patience and steady commitment toward achievement of goals. Strong computer skills (e.g LabVantage, iLab, File Maker Pro, Microsoft Office, EPIC). NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 – $65,520.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Summer associates in our Cross-Asset Quantitative Research program will have the opportunity for up to three rotations during the program within groups including credit strategy, rates and rate derivatives strategy, US equity strategy, equity derivatives research and the quantitative systematic investment strategies team.
During the program summer associates will conduct primary research in areas that can include:
- Applying machine learning techniques to develop strategies for harvesting risk-premia and asset allocation
- Using data science tools for modelling rates curves and positioning, portfolio construction and forecasting market anomalies
- Identify leading indicators of distress in credit markets and model inflection points in earnings with real-time and big data sets
- Model financial derivatives to identify systematically mispriced assets in order to build alpha generating trading strategies
- Developing smart dynamic hedging solutions for more efficient risk management of client assets
Qualifications
- Candidates are required to be pursuing a graduate degree (Masters or Ph.D.) from an accredited college or university with a graduation timeframe between December 2025 and June 2026 in a field of Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, or a related technical field that blends advanced quantitative methods with finance and economics
- Experience in managing and analyzing large data sets with modern data-science tools is required, strong knowledge and experience in advanced machine learning techniques is critical for select rotations
- Knowledge of financial derivatives including futures and options and their underlying pricing models is key for derivative-team rotations
- Knowledge of Python and Excel, as well as machine learning packages for certain rotations
- Distinguished written and verbal communications skills and an ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to non-technical individuals
- Ability to work independently and drive toward a completed end product
- Strong attention to detail; exercise strong quality control over own work
- A passion and curiosity appropriate for research combined with an ability to rapidly drive results under uncertainty

Overview & Placement
The Institutional Equity Sophomore Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week program consisting of one week of classroom training, followed by multiple rotations across the Equity division through our Trading, Distribution and Prime Brokerage desks. Summer Analysts receive on-the-job training, benefit from working alongside experienced professionals on meaningful projects, and build their skillsets in a dynamic and evolving environment. In addition, the Program features a Senior Management Speaker Series, desk teach-ins, networking events, community service, performance reviews, and a robust mentorship program.

Training Program
Summer Analysts begin with a one-day orientation where they are introduced to the Firm’s businesses, learn about what it is like to be an employee at Morgan Stanley and network with Summer Analysts throughout the Firm. For the remainder of training, Summer Analysts will attend divisional specific training where they learn core skills essential to a successful summer. The curriculum includes daily market updates, business-specific overviews, and basic product and technical training.

Expected base pay rate(s) for the role will be $36.06 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Job Description
The Eligibility Information Services Unit is responsible for providing information to Medicaid providers on Medicaid eligibility requirements that are mandated by the state and federal governments. These providers include community-based organizations, hospitals, and article 28 facilities, prenatal care providers, Facilitator Enrollers, health plans and nursing homes. Through conferences, classes, and procedural news bulletins, telephone, and on-site assistance, EIS communicates eligibility and documentation requirements, changes in rules, court decisions, and new programmatic initiatives to ensure error-free applications, recertification and transactions. EIS maintains relationships with the community by holding bi-monthly advisory councils in each borough. Constituent Services is seeking one (1) Community Coordinator to function as a Community Liaison Coordinator for the Eligibility Information Services Unit. The Community Coordinator responds to requests for information/documents from staff/public/other agencies by determining material required/performing research/consulting/clearing with superiors to provide accurate material. The unit is invited by outside organizations, including Elected Officials and HRA’s Community Affairs to attend community fairs and meetings and to present regarding Medicaid, Medicaid Excess Income, and the Medicare Savings program. The Community Liaison Coordinator will: - Conduct monthly presentation/s on Medicaid Eligibility to providers, hospitals, approved Client rep’s, community-based organizations. - Prepare PowerPoint presentations, on Medicaid Eligibility are prepared to keep providers and advocates abreast of New York State changes and updates during the public health emergency (PHE) and the unwinding of such PHE. - Ensure that the latest information from both New York State and the Federal government is communicated during our monthly Medicaid presentations to providers, community-based organizations, hospitals, advocates etc.; updates such presentations. - Manage software such as zoom, intranet quorum, welfare management systems (WMS), eMed/ny. - Assist staff to the staff on the telephone, policy clarification and guidance on where to direct inquiries within Medicaid on cases issues posted by callers. - Research cases and policy to determines the course of action the program should take (when necessary, consults with director). - In most instances takes the lead with inquiries and concerns presented to EIS by the same providers and advocates previously mentioned as well as by internal DSS/HRA staff such as the disability affairs unit on behalf of Medicaid consumers. The inquiries are then presented to the Medicaid program as well as other program areas within the agency advising of the issue and suggesting a resolution. Position Summary
The primary role of this position is to support clinical research involving Maternal Fetal Medicine Research. The employee will interact with pregnant women, their families and clinical staff as it relates to clinical research protocols and clinical trials, industry funded and grant funded, being implemented in the inpatient and outpatient setting. The inpatient setting includes labor and delivery, ante-partum and post-partum. The outpatient setting includes ACN clinics, Columbia doctor’s private offices, and ultrasound units.
Responsibilities
- Complete of GCP, HIPAA and applicable regulatory training.
- Complete certification requirements for assigned protocols.
- Screen designated schedules or patient lists for eligible subjects.
- Contact, approach and verify eligibility subjects.
- Screen, enroll and consent eligible subjects.
- Complete research study visits as delineated in assigned protocol and manual of operations set forth by sponsor and supervisor.
- Complete Telephone follow-up and telephone reminder calls for study participants, during these phone calls the person will need to administer study questionnaire as assigned.
- Coordinate the collection of all research data points as assigned, whether through research visits, chart abstraction or telephone.
- Schedule of research visits.
- Enter research data into a centralized database program and other study specific electronic databases.
- Collect through venipuncture, process, track, transport and ship biological specimens (including birth specimens) as assigned and by steps delineated in the protocol or manual of operations.
- Complete study documents and files some examples might include case report forms, worksheets and medical record notes.
- Maintain confidentiality of documents and files such as HIPAA.
- Inform relevant clinical staff regarding subject protocol participation.
- Assist in other research related activities and projects as needed.
- Collaborate regularly with the investigators and other research staff.
- Consult with medical records of outlying clinics and hospitals to obtain pertinent data and patient information.
- Interface with various hospital departments such as medical records, radiology, nursing, information technology services, and others as needed.
- Attend and participate in Investigator, site initiation and monitoring meetings as assigned.
- Participate in on-call activities to cover research activity off- hours as needed.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.
- Phlebotomy Certified (or other forms of certification in lieu of phlebotomy such as certified medical assistant, nurse degree (LPN, RN) - current or obtained within 3 months.
- Complete proficiency in written and spoken English and Spanish.
- Incumbent must be self-directed and able to make independent decision within the parameters of all federal, state, institutional and departmental guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a patient care setting and clinical research experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Master’s or another advanced degree may substitute in part for experience.
