2. Recently Arpita got a tattoo of a star, containing the names of all her family members — Salim Khan, mothers Salma and Helen, brothers Salman, Arbaaz. Sohail, sister Arpita and friend Deeksha. The other two words visible on the star are Love and Luck.

3. Arpita studied at London College of Fashion and holds a degree in fashion marketing and management. Currently she is working at an architectural and interior design firm in Mumbai. The bride-to-be never really had any interest in being in front of the camera, quite unlike her fiance, Ayush Sharma who is willing to give up his business for the sake of acting . 4. Reportedly, when Arjun Kapoor was 18-years-old and weighed 140 kgs, Arpita dated him for two years. While the reason behind the break-up is not yet known, Kapoor is still very close to the Khan family and it was Salman Khan who inspired him to shed his extra kilos and join films.

Arpita Khan , whom you all know as Salman Khan 's sister is having her big wedding at the Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad today. But did you know that she was his adopted sister?

Arpita Khan was not adopted from any NGO, in fact she was a daughter of a homeless woman who happened to die on the Mumbai footpath owing to some accident. Salim Khan who came across this girl, saw her weeping and brought her home to take care of her.

Within days the family decided to adopt her and from then on wards she has been brought up like a khan in the family and all her brothers and sisters pamper her and love her the most. There has been absolutely no bias towards her from any family member and is always treated like a princess.

Being the lucky princess of Salman Khan's family, when they got to know that she always dreamed of getting married in a palace, dotting brother Salman Khan booked the Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad for her lavish wedding. He spent a whopping Rs 2 crores on booking the venue and over Rs 16 crores to buy her a wedding present.

Salman Khan is the eldest son of Salim Khan and Salma Khan. Arpita was adopted by Salim's second wife Helen. The family shares a close bond and often comes together for festival and special occasions. Arpita is married to actor Aayush Sharma and they have two children together.

In an interview with Indian Express, Salman had recalled how Arpita told him about wanting to marry Aayush. "We were doing this film earlier. We still have the script. It was for me but I had passed that age. The title of the film was My Punjabi Nikaah. So Sohail came to me saying that they are planning to look for somebody else. Sohail then told me that he has seen this guy at the gym and thinks he is ideal for the character. So, after two days, I told him to sign that guy and go ahead, but Sohail told me that he’s not been coming to the gym. He used to be regular and then suddenly we couldn’t find him."

"Then one day Arpita called. I stay just one floor below her, but since she called us, we all went to meet her. And, we see this boy standing with Arpita, my father and mother. We had seen him around earlier too. And then Arpita said, ‘Dad, I want to marry him.’ I asked her if he is the guy from the gym, she said yes. I asked Sohail if he is the same guy he thought for his film, he said yes. So I told him, ‘ab toh main free mein film banaunga (I’ll make the film for free with him)’," he added.

तब सलीम खान को उस छोटी सी बच्ची पर काफी ज्यादा तरस आ गया और वह उसको अपने साथ में घर पर ले आए। हालांकि बाद में हेलेन और सलीम ने कानूनी तौर पर इस बच्ची को गोद ले लिया था और इसका नाम अर्पिता रख दिया था। आज के समय पर अर्पिता खान काफी सुर्खियों में रहती हैं और उन्होंने आयुष शर्मा के साथ में शादी की है।

आयुष शर्मा और अर्पिता खान के दो बच्चे भी हो चुके हैं। हैरानी की बात तो यह है कि दोनों की लव मैरिज हुई है। आयुष शर्मा भी बॉलीवुड के एक मशहूर अभिनेता बन चुके हैं और अभी के समय पर उन्होंने काफी सारी फिल्मों में भी काम किया हुआ है। अर्पिता खान फिल्म इंडस्ट्री से हमेशा दूरी बनाए रहती हैं, हालांकि उन्हें कई इवेंट्स में देखा जाता है।
