How to Write a Smartphone Review

Last Updated: May 22, 2024 Fact Checked

In an age where consumers are increasingly relying on each other for honest and straightforward recommendations of new products, writing or recording a smartphone review is a great way to help potential buyers get a feel for a new phone. Technology blogs and video sharing sites like YouTube are all the rage for smartphone reviews and adding reviews to your blog on a constant basis can create a trusting following of readers who come to rely on your reliable advice. You can write or film your own smartphone review with help from the following tips.

Step 1 Increase your background knowledge of the device you'll be reviewing.

  • If you don't already own the smartphone in question (for example, if you're reviewing a range of phones for your blog), visit one of the smartphone carrier's retail store and play around with the phone, or ask a friend who owns the device if you can use it for a day. Learn about the phone's features, design, pros, cons, and the price.

Step 2 Introduce the smartphone.

  • Be sure to include any relevant hyperlinks to help customers find the information you're referring to, perhaps even purchase locations.

Step 3 Break down your review into categories.

  • Talk about what you like about the smartphone you're reviewing, how easy it is to use, what features in particular are of worthy note.

Step 4 Always include the phone's drawbacks along with its better features.

  • Look at the advertising blurb accompanying the smartphone. Consider whether you think the smartphone in question lives up to the hype or whether there are aspects that you don't agree with. It will be important to compare your experience with the advertised promises.
  • Even summarizing the review with the best "pro" and the most annoying or disabling "con" can be a good overall summary for readers. For example, "Pros: This smartphone has a battery that outlasts any of its competitors in the same niche. Cons: Its price and the limited color range."

Step 5 Take clear, detailed...

  • Post your review on a blog, on a review site, or anywhere else relevant and be sure to respond to comments made to you. Sometimes developers will also respond if your review has struck a chord, so it pays to monitor your review actively for a good period of time.

Expert Q&A

Marissa Levis

  • If you have spotted anything unusual about the smartphone that hasn't necessarily being promoted as a feature, such as an ability to use it somewhere that your previous phones have never worked (for example, if doing field work, etc.), be sure to point this out. Your personal experiences can influence other people who might be in the same situation as you. Thanks Helpful 1 Not Helpful 0
  • Be cautious about anything that might be a service provider [AT&T, Rogers, Bell etc.] issue. Not everybody uses the same provider, so if you're having reception problems, gather more data before you include it in the review. Thanks Helpful 0 Not Helpful 0
  • You might like to extend your reviewing skills to apps that are supported by the smartphone in question. In this way, you can build a large repository of useful information related to the topic of smartphones. Thanks Helpful 0 Not Helpful 0

mobile phone review essay spm

  • A review is not a rant. If your smartphone turned out to be a complete lemon, contact the retailer and manufacturer before letting loose your frustration online. You may have been unlucky enough to get a faulty phone, or you may not be using it correctly, or the company may find a problem thanks to your complaint and do its best to rectify it with you. Thanks Helpful 5 Not Helpful 3
  • Be objective. If you love Android, don't just simply hate the iPhone. Be objective, and try to explain any issues you find with some clear and concise words. Don't try to mimic a paid publication on the take from a manufacturer like Apple. Thanks Helpful 0 Not Helpful 0

SPM Essay Writing Guide – Format & Examples

Table of Contents

What is SPM?

Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia, or SPM, is a significant national exam that Malaysian students who have completed Form 5 education—typically at the age of 17—take. It’s crucial since it determines whether or not they can continue their education after high school and serves as a measure of their overall academic success. Writing an essay is a significant part of the SPM exam since it evaluates the test taker’s command of the English language , analytical reasoning skills, and ability to form coherent arguments.

SPM Essay Format

Excellent SPM essays may only be written by students who have a firm grasp of the proper essay format. An essay typically consists of three primary components:

1. Introduction

The introduction of an essay serves as the initial section, strategically designed to captivate the reader’s interest and provide essential contextual information for the subsequent content of the paper. The factors that contribute to the level of interest in an introduction are:

A hook: A hook is a provocative statement or query that grabs the reader’s attention.

Background context: Introduce the topic and its relevance in a brief background context.

Thesis statement: Clearly state your essay’s principal contention or goal.

The body of your essay comprises several paragraphs, each of which deals with a different aspect of your thesis or a related concept. When composing the body, adhere to the following guidelines:

Topic sentences: Each paragraph should begin with an introduction to the key concept that is succinct and straightforward.

Supporting evidence: To support your claims, offer statistics, examples, or supporting proof.

Smooth transitions: Make sure the transitions between paragraphs are reasonable, retaining the coherence of the structure.

3. Conclusion

The conclusion is the last section, where you restate your thesis and briefly review your significant points. To write a strong conclusion:

Summarise main points: Briefly summarise your main points from the body paragraphs.

Restate thesis: Rephrase your thesis statement to reinforce your main argument.

Closing thought: A provocative statement or call to action should be the closing thought.

How to Write an SPM Essay?

Essay writing is a craft that can be honed with time and focus. Write an excellent SPM essay by following this simple outline:

1. Understand the Question

To completely understand the criteria of the essay question, carefully read and consider it. Indicate the essay type (e.g., descriptive, narrative, argumentative) and the keywords that will be used.

2. Plan Your Essay

The key ideas you intend to cover in each part should be included in an outline. Planning ensures a clear essay structure and helps you organize your thoughts.

3. Start with a Strong Introduction

Write a captivating beginning that introduces the subject, establishes the mood, and expresses your thesis statement succinctly.

4. Develop the Body Paragraphs

Each paragraph should focus on a single idea, with supporting details and arguments. Make seamless transitions between ideas.

5. Craft an Impactful Conclusion

Reiterate your thesis, restate your essential points, and give the reader a thought-provoking conclusion.

SPM Essay Writing Tips

Take into account these helpful tips to improve your essay-writing abilities:

1. Read Widely

Your vocabulary and knowledge base will grow due to exposure to various reading sources, including books, newspapers, and articles.

2. Practice Regularly

Consistent writing practice improves your writing abilities and increases your comfort level while confronting various essay subjects.

3. Seek Feedback

To pinpoint areas for growth, get comments from teachers, peers, or family members.

4. Time Management

Use your time effectively during the exam to allow enough time for preparing, writing, and reviewing.

5. Grammar and Vocabulary

Pay close attention to your grammar, spelling, and language choices for your writing to remain coherent and clear.

Types of SPM Essays

SPM essays can take many forms, each requiring a different strategy. Here are a few common types:

1. Narrative Essay

It tells a tale with aspects including characters, setting, and plot, frequently from the viewpoint of the author.

2. Descriptive Essay

It uses sensory details to create a realistic image of a person, location, or event to capture the reader’s attention.

3. Argumentative Essay

Presents reasons and proof to persuade readers to take a specific stance on a hotly debated subject.

4. Expository Essay

Gives details, justifications, or analyses on a subject backed up by examples and facts.

5. Reflective Essay

Reveals one’s own feelings, thoughts, and experiences while highlighting the lessons learned from a certain incident.

SPM Essay Example for Malaysian Students

To provide you with a practical reference, here is a brief example of an SPM essay provided by Malaysian Essay Helpers :

Example Title: “The Impact of Technology on Education”

The digital era has completely transformed every part of our lives, including education. Classrooms have changed as a result of the growing use of digital devices and the internet, with both positive and negative effects.

Paragraph 1 (Positive Impact)

The educational process has been greatly improved by technology. Interactive instructional software and applications provide pupils with fun ways to understand difficult ideas. Additionally, e-learning platforms have made it possible to receive a degree from a distance, eliminating geographic restrictions and fostering lifelong learning.

Paragraph 2 (Negative Impact)

However, there are negative consequences to using too much technology in the classroom. The decline of conventional methods of instruction may lead to a shortage of students with strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills. Additionally, the digital divide between kids from various socioeconomic origins has the potential to make educational disparities worse.

In conclusion, it is undeniable that technology has significantly influenced modern schooling. To guarantee that every student receives a well-rounded education, educators must strike a balance between tech-based instruction and conventional teaching techniques, despite the fact that technology has many benefits in terms of accessibility and learning opportunities.

For Malaysian students who want to perform well on their exams, mastering the art of SPM essay writing is essential. Students may improve their writing talents and create compelling essays highlighting their knowledge and critical thinking skills by adhering to the correct essay style, employing effective writing approaches, and practicing frequently. Remember to experiment with different essay formats to increase your writing versatility and use other people’s work as inspiration to enhance your own.

How To Write A Book Review Essay For SPM

books

What Is A Book Review?

A book review is a short analysis or critical evaluation of a book. Simply put, a book review is what you think about a book which means the essay is opinion-based.

You might find a book review essay question in Part 3 of your SPM Paper 2, where you’re expected to write around 200 - 250 words. In this article, we’ve outlined several easy steps that you can take to help you write an SPM book review essay. You’ll also find an example of a book review essay at the end, so don’t miss out on that!

Step-By-Step Guide To Write A Book Review Essay For SPM

Step 1: read the question carefully.

The first thing to do is to read the essay question carefully so you are clear on what you must include in your SPM book review essay. Pay attention to any keywords in the question. For example, some questions may ask you to share a synopsis of the book or who you think should read the book.

You should also take note of who you’re writing for. Are you writing a book review for the school magazine, the local newspaper or an online blog? This will help you tailor your book review for the audience.

Step 2: Identify your book

books

For an SPM book review essay, you usually get to choose what book you would like to write about. Book lovers and avid readers would probably have many options in mind. If you’re not into reading (it’s not too late to start a new habit!), you can write about a book that you’re well-versed or familiar with.

Many great book series like Harry Potter and The Hunger Games have also turned into movies. So if you’ve seen the movie but haven’t read the book, you technically will have enough content to write a book review.

There are some basic elements that you should include in your SPM book review essay. To help you outline your essay and brainstorm for ideas, here are some WH questions that you can use as prompts.

What is the title?

Who is the author?

What happens in the book?

Who are the characters?

Where and when does the story take place?

Why did you like or dislike the book?

Why is it worth or not worth reading?

Who would you recommend the book to?

How did the book make you feel?

What did you learn from the book?

Step 4: Write the introduction

In the introduction paragraph of your SPM book review essay, you must first introduce the title and author of the book. Here are several different ways that you could begin your essay:

I have recently read the novel …

The book I am reviewing is titled … by …

My favourite book is …

One of the novels that I enjoy reading is …

… is a novel written by …

The author of the … book series is …

You can also mention the genre of the book in your introduction. Is it fiction or non-fiction? Is it a sci-fi, thriller, fantasy or romance novel? Remember, your introduction paragraph doesn’t need to be long; 2-3 sentences would be just right.

Step 5: Write your body paragraphs

white paper

Your SPM book review essay should have 2-3 body paragraphs. Each paragraph can focus on a different point or element to keep it well organised.

When writing your body paragraphs, remember to refer to the essay question so that you address all of the required points in your essay. You can also select the WH questions that are the most relevant for you to respond to in your essay.

If you’re struggling to expand on your points, use the PEEC acronym. PEEC stands for:

P oint (What are you trying to convey?)

E xplanation (How can you explain it further?)

E xample (What are some examples you can include to support your point?)

C onclusion (So what?)

Step 6: Write your conclusion

In your conclusion, you can provide your recommendations for the book or reaffirm how you feel about the book. It’s okay to give a negative review, but this should be consistent with what you’ve shared in your body paragraphs.

Here are some examples of sentences or expressions that you could use in your SPM book review essay’s conclusion.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery novels.

I enjoyed reading the book and would recommend it to others.

The book is available in the school library, so do check it out.

This book is best suited for fans of fantasy novels such as Lord of the Rings.

As a fan of fantasy and adventure novels, I would give it a read but don’t expect it to be as good as the Harry Potter series.

While the characters are interesting, I believe this book is not for everyone.

Step 7: Proofread your essay

This step is something that you’d find in all of our essay guides because it is an important step when writing any kind of essay.

Proofread means checking your essays for any mistakes and areas for improvement once you’ve finished writing. Always remember to leave some time for you to proofread at the end!

‘The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas’ written by author John Boyne is a moving story set during the Holocaust. This historical fiction novel was also adapted into a movie of the same name.

The main characters in the book are Bruno, the son of a Nazi official and Shmuel, a Jewish boy held in a concentration camp. When Bruno first saw the camp, the prisoners' uniforms looked like ‘striped pyjamas’ to him. While exploring the fence surrounding the camp, Bruno meets Shmuel on the other side of the fence and the two strike up an unlikely friendship.

Once I started reading, it was very difficult to put it down as the story hooked me. I like how the story focused on the perspectives of children and highlights their innocence. The story also emphasises how friendship knows no boundaries. While the book started quite light at the beginning, it is heart-wrenching by the time it ends. I enjoy books with cautionary tales like this as it contains a lot of moral lessons.

If you’re worried about the language, don’t be. The book is written in simple English which made it very easy to understand. I didn’t find myself needing to look up many words in the dictionary. ‘The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas’ is also not too long, so you can easily finish reading it within a week.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend this book as it tells a story with deep meanings that anyone can reflect on and learn something about.

SPM Essay Writing Guide, Format, Examples for All Types

The SPM exam is a challenging time for Malaysian students. It’s an opportunity to showcase their knowledge and skills, but it can also be confusing as the requirements are constantly changing. For example, this year there is no essay marking scheme provided by the Ministry of Education or any other official source on how essays should be assessed. This blog post will guide how to write an engaging essay that is sure to impress your teacher and get you top marks.

What is SPM?

The Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), or the Malaysian Certificate of Education, is a national examination taken by all fifth-form secondary school students in Malaysia. It was created to test what they have been learning over their course of study and aspires them for higher education opportunities abroad.

Malaysians take the SPM exam that is set and examined by a Malaysian Examinations Syndicate. This Syndicate is also known as Lembaga Peperiksaan Malaysia. The education system in Malaysia can be completed after passing this test, which is equivalent to O-levels at the secondary school level. It’s compulsory for those seeking tertiary education before taking it; only then will they have an idea of what field of study suits them best. The age for completion of this public examination is 18 years old and students must pass it to be eligible for higher education.

The syndicate has made Bahasa Malaysia, English (Bahasa inggeris), Islamic studies, moral studies, history, and mathematical reading a compulsion for the students.

The Islamic studies subject is a compulsion for Muslim candidates. And moral studies are compulsory for non-Muslim candidates. The science coursework is common and compulsion to all students, but you can choose your elective subjects from these core courses below:

  • Arts And Health- Music education, visual arts education, and sports science knowledge.
  • Language And Literature- Malay literature, English literature, Chinese language, Arabic language(advanced), Chinese, Tamil, Iban, Arabic language for communication, English for science and technology, Chinese literature, Tamil literature, French language, and Punjabi language.
  • Technical And Vocational- Agricultural science, home economics, engineering drawing, mechanical engineering studies, invention, food management, fashion design, engineering technology, domestic constructions, automobile servicing, etc.
  • Science and Mathematics- additional Mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology, additional science, information and communication, and applied science.
  • Social Science And Religion- Business, entrepreneurial studies, principles of accounting, basic economics, Islamic worldviews, AL-Quran and As-Sunnah education, bible knowledge, etc.

SPM Essay Format

SPM essay writing is divided into two parts, part A and part B

Part A- This section is where you’ll be writing an essay, a report, or a letter. You’re given 45 minutes to answer this and it’s compulsory for you as only one question will bring in 35 marks- so make sure not to skip over the questions! Your examiner may award 3/35 points for your format, 12/35 points on content, and 20 out of 35 if they think that your language (grammar) is good enough.

Part B – This is the section where you apply all your knowledge of writing skills. It’s also a place to study grammar rules and how they work. Take some time now before we dive in so that by taking this bird’s eye view of it, you’ll know what to expect from this portion of our coursework.

  • You will be given five options and you have to opt for only one.
  • 60 minutes will be given to students to read all the questions thoroughly and plan key points for the same.
  • This part carries 50 marks.

How to Write SPM Essay

  • Write at least 6-7 sentences.
  • Use proper grammar, punctuation, and correct spelling.

  • One conclusion paragraph
  • Write 40-50 words

  • Write synonyms to restate your idea

SPM Essay Writing Tips

  • Read all the questions wisely, some students make mistakes while selecting the question and later regret that they could have handled the other questions with much ease.
  • Must choose a topic you are familiar with.
  • Plan your essay like outline/ideas/thoughts/supporting points etc.
  • Write sentences of different lengths a short sentence looks better after the long one.
  • Always write neat and clean must use bullet points etc.
  • Pay strict attention to the length of an essay, you have to write no less than 350 words if you write less than that, then you will be penalized, also never write extend your essay from 600- to 1000 words the more you write, the more the mistakes will happen.
  • Always spare 10 minutes to proofread and edit an essay.
  • After opting for a topic for an essay you can either write descriptive, narrative, reflective, descriptive, argumentative/persuasive, or factual/expository), but according to my suggestion always choose a narrative essay because another one requires a lot of knowledge of current issues.

Types of SPM Essays

The types of essays in SPM are:-

  • Narrative essay- To write an interesting narrative essay often needs the right ingredients – just as cooking up a plate of curry masala does. The first thing about writing such essays is one’s creative imagination; so long as they are imaginative enough and think out of their box, then any story becomes more exciting than ever.
  • Descriptive essay- a descriptive essay is an essay that aims to describe one’s viewpoint of the world through observations and feelings. The goal of this type of essay is to provide a vivid portrayal of the subject to get readers excited about what they are reading.
  • Factual Essay- A factual essay is a non-fiction form of writing that is typically used when discussing some point relating to science or history. Factual essays are very similar to research papers in structure and format; however, they both vary in the use of citations and footnotes.
  • Reflective Essay- A reflective essay is a personal essay that focuses on the writer’s reflection about an event, experience, or topic. The goal of this type of essay is typically to think critically and deeply about something which has been experienced by the writer.
  • Persuasive Essay- Persuasive essays are a common way to voice opinions and sway readers. Readers will often disagree, which is why writers need to present their point of view as persuasively as possible with evidence from research or arguments that the reader can’t refute.

Topics for SPM Essay

  • Illustrate an adventurous activity that has been done recently. Describe the preparation you have done before that and how was your experience?
  • Describe your College reunion of yours; explain how memorable for you it was?
  • Describe the project conducted at your school and you have played the most important role, what was your experience with that?
  • Should parents give freedom to children? Discuss
  • Write a story about a neighbour who is very popular in your neighbourhood. Discuss the reasons that make the neighbour popular and what other residents think of the popular neighbour.
  • Write a story about a young successful farmer who is very generous. End your story with: “My friends and I learned a lot, especially the meaning of generosity.”

SPM Essay Example for Malaysian Students

Schools and universities have turned to online classes during this pandemic. Your teacher asked about your experience with online classes.

In the wake of an infectious disease outbreak, Malaysia has had to change how its students are getting educated. The COVID-19 virus is spreading rapidly in schools and villages across Asia; as a result, many Malaysian children have been forced into remote learning for fear that they will come into contact with someone infected by this highly contagious pathogen. These changes force educators all over the world to switch from traditional teaching methods– instructing pupils face-to-face or via webcam–to online coursework where the distance between teacher and student is not just social but physical too. Some Malaysian kids accept these new conditions readily while others may be struggling with adapting because it’s difficult adjusting without close human interaction on a day today.

I reap the benefits of Online education, first of all, you will spend less than in traditional classrooms, you can easily communicate with your teacher, you will gain new technical skills, you can gain better self-motivation, and enjoy a broader perspective.

The demerits of Online learning are that it can cause social isolation, it also needs strong self-motivation and time management skills, lack of communication skills, preventing mischievous activity can be complicated, teacher-focused only on theoretical knowledge, not on practical, E-learning lack face to face communication.

With the unprecedented virus covid-19, safe to say that online learning is the best alternative we have now. In the future, I would opt for classroom learning it has various plus points that E-learning cannot replace.

                                                                                                                                    Smartphone Essay

Understanding the Smartphone

A smartphone is a mobile device that facilitates the combination of cellular and mobile computing functions into one single unit. Moreover, smartphones have stronger hardware capabilities and extensive mobile operating systems in comparison to feature phones.

The strong operating systems of smartphones make possible multimedia functionality, wider software, and the internet including web browsing. They also support core phone functions like text messaging and voice calls.

There are a number of metal–oxide–semiconductor (MOS) integrated circuit (IC) chips within a smartphone. Moreover, such chips include various sensors whose leveraging is possible by their software.

The marketing of early smartphones was primarily towards the enterprise market. Furthermore, the attempt of the smartphone manufacturers was to bridge the functionality of standalone personal digital assistant (PDA) devices along with support for cellular telephony. However, the early smartphones had problems of slow analogue cellular network, short battery life, and bulky size.

With the passage of time, experts were able to resolve these issues. Furthermore, this became possible with faster digital mobile data networks, miniaturization of MOS transistors down to sub-micron levels, and exponential scaling. Moreover, the development of more mature software platforms led to enhancement in the capability of smartphones.

Benefits of Smartphone

People can make use of smartphones to access the internet and find out information regarding almost anything. Furthermore, due to the portability of a smartphone, people can access the internet from any location, even while travelling.

Smartphones have greatly increased the rate of work. This is possible because smartphones facilitate a highly efficient and quick form of communication from anywhere. For example, a person can participate in an official business meeting, without wasting time, from the comfort of his home via a live video chat application of a smartphone.

Smartphones can also be of tremendous benefit to students in general. Furthermore, students can quickly resolve any issue related to studies by accessing the internet , using a calculator, reading a pdf file, or contacting a teacher. Most noteworthy, all of this is possible due to the smartphone.

People can get in touch with the larger global community by communicating and sharing their views via social media. Furthermore, this provides a suitable platform to express their views, conduct business with online transactions , or find new people or jobs. One can do all that from anywhere, thanks to the smartphone.

These were just a few benefits of smartphones. Overall, the total benefits of a smartphone are just too many to enumerate here. Most importantly, smartphones have made our lives more efficient as well as comfortable.

Seminar: Smartphone Review Essay

Nowadays, Smartphone is one of the important things in our daily life, it allows user to check email and offer a complete internet experience. Besides that, Smart Phone is one device that takes care of your handheld computing and communication needs in a single, small package. In Malaysia, Samsung S3 and iPhone 5 have been introduced and became popular as compared to other smart phone. (“2012 Fendelman,” par.2) The Samsung S3 is a smart phone developed by Samsung. The device was released in 28 European and Middle Eastern countries on 29 May 2012, before being progressively released in other major markets in June 2012, prior to release, 9 million pre-orders were placed by more than 100 carriers globally. Interestingly this Samsung S3 using …show more content…

Before going to the specs war, design is a very important matter to many buyers. In the case of metal versus plastic, and hard lines against smoother curves, the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3 have quite different approaches to handset design ("2013 Williams"). Apple has taken aggressive measures to make the iPhone 5 as thin as possible. The two iPhone models released prior to the iPhone 5 featured have glass panels on the front and rear, which gave the phone’s a hard and solid feel. However, rear glass plate has now been replaced with metal and aluminium that lets iPhone 5 very slim and lightweight phone ("2013 Williams," par. 8). Besides that, the iPhone 5 model is just 7.6 millimetres thin with the weight 112 gram ("2012 Brooke Crothers"). To make that happen, Apple engineers had to think small, and they used aluminium to make iPhone 5 thin and lightweight phone. They also created a Nano-SIM card, which is 44 per cent smaller than a micro-SIM ("iPhone," par.3). The back of iPhone 5 is made of anodized 6000 series aluminum which is the same material used in Apple notebooks, with inlays techniques along the top and bottom made of ceramic glass (on the white and silver model) or pigmented glass (on the black and slate model) ("iPhone," par. 7) The design for Samsung model is more larger compared to Apple because Samsung has concentrated on designing the Galaxy S3 to fit the palm of the hand, it might be larger than the iPhone 5, but due to the

LG's upcoming G5 smartphone is the follow up to their earlier G4 model. The G5 was recently announced at MWC 2016. The G5 features a 5.3-inch display. As well as dual rear cameras, in addition to the front-facing camera. The phone also sports a removable battery and expandable storage. As well as running the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow Operating System. Today we'll be giving you an early preview of LG's upcoming G5 smartphone.

Samsung versus Apple Smartphones

I assume that the design of the phone is the fundamental component that will draw the consumer's attention. The Galaxy S4's dimensions are 5.38 x 2.75 x .31 inches. The S4 materializes in four different colors: black, white, brown, blue, red purple pink, and light pink. From a glimpse, you will notice that it is covered in plastic, which is actually polycarbonate chassis, it incorporates a removable rear cover, and that there is a silver trim that goes around the sides. On the front, there is a 2-megapixel front facing camera and LED notification lights. On the back, there is a 13 megapixel camera, LED flash, and speakers. The Note 3's dimensions are 5.95 x 2.75 x .33 inches. The Note 3 is obviously larger than the S4, and from a glance, the Note 3 looks outwardly different. The Note 3 was

The resolution of the Iphone 5s is 640 x 1136 pixels. However, the Galaxy S5 has better resolution since it has 1080 x 1920 pixels. The Iphone 5s has a pixel density of 326 ppi. However, the Galaxy S5 has a pixel density of 432 ppi which means it can fit more pixels on the screen than the Iphone 5s’ screen. One benefit that the touch screen of the Galaxy S5 has over the Iphone 5s is its multi touch screen. The multi touch screen on the Galaxy S5 allows the user to be able to touch the touch screen in more than location simultaneously. One feature of the display specification of the Galaxy S5 has that the Iphone 5s does not have is the scratch resistant glass .That means users who have the Galaxy S5 won’t have worry about getting scratches on the screen of their phones. However, Iphone 5s users will have to be careful with their phones if they do not want their phones to get scratches.

And the front is more attractive too” (Crothers). The new transformation of the iPhone 5 in 2012 still has many people turning their heads and observing the phone. When people look past the functionality of the phone and see the design for its aesthetic beauty and design, it is a no-brainer that the iPhone’s sharp yet soft appearance can attract so many people to buy the phone. Apple completely redesigned the iPhone when the iPhone 5 was released and this only has strengthened Apple and has brought many people to turn away from Android. The design is very sharp and razor like at the edges but the center is soft and a great contrast to the edge. The thinness of the phone is spectacular and also strengthens the clarity of the phone’s sharpness. The iPhone also has a retina display that is designed to create optimal viewing of a screen with the right amount of PPI (pixels per inch), so the view is never distorted but crystal clear. A sharp design and crystal clear screen has aided the iPhone and showed many that the iPhone is clearly crafted better than an Android device.

However, because of the fact that Apple refuses to allow other manufacturers to use the iPhone’s IOS software, there are only six models of the iPhone. Differences in appearance are evident as well. For example, higher-end Android phones have been noted for their screens that are much larger than that of the iPhone. However, this limits the screen’s resolution, which is much greater on the iPhone for this very reason.

Worldwide demand for Smartphones was robust as a result of the availability of high-speed wireless networks, mobile access to corporate intranets, and the broad acceptance of e-mail and text messaging for both business and personal communications.  The Smartphone industry was projected to grow from 10 percent of the global mobile market to 30 percent over five years. The growth is clear when considering in 2007 that the US enjoyed a 100% increase in user numbers with a 53% increase worldwide. The Pros And Cons Of The Iphone X

The iPhone X greatly attracts customers due to its new, sleek physical appearance, which is an understandable reason for its price. A key component of the interest in the iPhone X is the larger screen. It has 82.9% screen-to-body ratio compared to the iPhone 8’s 65.6% screen-to-body ratio (Gordon). This is very helpful to consumers because it uses show-watching and book-reading apps to their full potential by providing more room for them to fill up the phone. Videos, pictures, social media apps are more enjoyable on the big screen as well, improving just about every experience the phone user has (Titcomb). Additionally, a new form of technology has been added to the screen to enhance the viewing experience, as well as improved upon previous features. The Telegraph writer, James Titcomb wrote, “Apple has introduced what it calls Super Retina, and what everyone else calls OLED, to an iPhone for the first time.” This new modification allows for greater resolution and higher contrast on the screen, such as 1,000,000:1 vs 1,400:1. Reportedly, the iPhone X also has the highest increased resolution, pixel count, and contrast of any previous iPhone. Overall, these advancements allow for photos and videos to look great and leaves the viewer more satisfied with every feature and app (Titcomb). Lastly, certain aspects of its appearance were changed to appeal more to the public, changing its face value. Two distinct characteristics were the glass backing and the chrome edges. Titcomb said, “the edges are chrome - a nice throwback to the iPhone 4, which many considered to be
