हर वर्ष क्रिसमस और नए साल के जश्न का आयोजन स्कूलों में मनाया जाता है। मेरे स्कूल में भी क्रिसमस को बड़े ही धूम-धाम और उत्साह के साथ मनाया जाता है। अध्यापकों से ज्यादा बच्चों में इस त्यौहार का जोश और उत्साह देखने को मिलता है। हमारा स्कूल एक मिशन स्कूल है इसलिए हमारे स्कूल के परिसर में एक चर्च भी है। हम सब बच्चे और सफाई कर्मचारी मिलकर इसकी अच्छे से साफ-सफाई करते हैं, और हमलोग इसे माला, रिबन, झालर, गुब्बारे इत्यादि से सजाते है। सभी मिलकर क्रिसमस के पेड़ को सितारों, गुब्बारों, रोशनी इत्यादि से सजाकर चर्च के पास रखते है और एक मंच को भी अच्छी तरह से सजा कर तैयार करते है।

मंच के सामने अतिथि की कुर्सियों पर हमारे शिक्षक को सम्मान के साथ बैठाया जाता है और पीछे की कुर्सियों पर हमारे स्कूल के वरिष्ठ छात्रों को बिठाया जाता है। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत स्वागत गीत के साथ की जाती है और फिर ईशु के प्रार्थना गीत गायी जाती है। इसके बाद ईशु के जन्म और उनके जीवन की महत्वपूर्ण घटनाओं का नाट्य रूपांतरण प्रस्तुत किया जाता है। उसके बाद संगीतकारों द्वारा क्रिसमस के कुछ संगीत प्रस्तुत किये जाते है। बाद में हमारे प्रधानाध्यापक और अन्य शिक्षकों के द्वारा भाषण कराया जाता है। भाषणों में ईशा मसीह के गुणों को बताया जाता है और सभी को क्रिसमस की शुभकामनाएं दी जाती है। तत्पश्चात हमारे ही शिक्षकों में से सांता क्लॉज बने एक शिक्षक वहां उपहारों के साथ आते है और हम सभी को हमारा उपहार देते है।

इसके बाद छात्रों को शिक्षकों द्वारा केक और खाने के लिए अन्य चीजें वितरित की जाती है। इसके साथ ही हमें क्रिसमस और नए साल की बधाइयाँ दी जाती है और ठंडी की छुट्टियों की घोषणा भी इसी समय कर दी जाती है। सभी छात्र क्रिसमस का खूब आनंद लेते है और बाद में सब एक-दूसरे को बधाई और शुभकामनाएं देते है।

गरीब छात्रों के लिए कार्यक्रम (Program for Poor Students on Christmas in My School)

हमारे स्कूल में क्रिसमस के कार्यक्रम वाले दिन स्कूल और स्कूल के परिसर के पास रहने वाले गरीब छात्रों के लिए एक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन हमारे प्रधानाध्यापक द्वारा किया जाता है। हर बच्चे को नए पोशाक और मिठाइयां दी जाती हैं। उन छात्रों के मनोरंजन के लिए अलग से कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये जाते है, कुछ प्रस्तुतियां उनके द्वारा भी की जाती है। बाद में चैरिटी संस्थाओं द्वारा उन्हें केक, मिठाइयां, किताबों, इत्यादि का वितरण किया जाता है। उन्हें कक्षा में मुफ्त शिक्षा के लिए आमंत्रित भी किया जाता है। इन सब बातों से उनके चेहरे की खुशी देख मन को संतुष्टि मिलती है, और मन में विचार आता है कि मैं भी बड़ा होकर ऐसे ही बच्चों के हित के लिए कुछ करूँगा।

मैं अपने कॉलोनी के अपने दोस्तों के साथ क्रिसमस का त्योहार मनाता हूँ। सब साथ मिलकर क्रिसमस के पेड़ को अद्भुत तरीके से सजाते है। मेरी माँ द्वारा बनाये गए केक को सभी कॉलोनी के बच्चे और बड़े साथ मिलकर काटते है। सभी बच्चे और बड़े मिलकर नाचगाने के साथ खूब मस्ती करते है।

सभी लोग एक दूसरे को क्रिसमस की बधाई और शुभकामनाएं देते है। बड़े लोग बच्चों को प्यार, आशीर्वाद और उन्हें उपहार देते हैं। सभी बच्चे भी मिलकर बड़ों के लिए कोई डांस या क्रिसमस प्रोग्राम करते है। बाद में सभी चर्च जाकर ईशु के सामने सभी के सुख-शांति और समृद्धि की प्रार्थना करते है।

When was Jesus Christ Born?

Today, we celebrate Christmas on the 25th of December every year. However, nobody knows the exact date when Jesus was born. No historical evidence exists nor was it explicitly mentioned in the Bible. So, how did people come about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ on the 25th of December?

Christmas Date and Its Origin

Many believe that the birth of Christ did not happen on Year 1, but somewhere between 2 BC and 7 BC. The first-ever recorded evidence of Christmas celebrations can be traced all the way to 336 AD, during the reign of the Roman Emperor Constantine. Constantine was the very first Roman Emperor to adopt Christianity, and hence, celebrated the birth of Christ on December 25th. However, there are more theories that explain why we celebrate Christmas on 25th.

An ancient Christian tradition marked March 25th as the day when Mary was told that she would give birth to a very special baby, this event was called the Annunciation in Christian literature. Nine months after March 25th was December 25th, which is when Jesus would have been born.

How “Old Christmas” is Celebrated?

Today, the world follows the Gregorian Calendar, which was introduced by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582. Prior to this, the Roman Calendar was used. However, the Roman calendar had more days in a year than the Gregorian Calendar. Hence, when the world switched to the Gregorian Calendar, almost 10 days were lost. Hence, the day that followed October 4th, 1582 was October 15th, 1582.  Similarly, when the UK adopted the Gregorian Calendar in 1752, the day that followed September 2nd, 1752, the day which followed was September 14th, 1752.

Some Orthodox Churches still use the Roman Calendar, hence, they would celebrate Christmas on January 6th, which is where December 25th would have been on the Gregorian Calendar. In some parts of the world, January 6th is called Old Christmas, due to the fact that this would have been the day Christmas would have been celebrated if the calendar switch was never made.

क्रिसमस दिवस क्यों मनाया जाता है?

लगभग 2000 वर्ष पूर्व भगवान यीशु मसीह का जन्म मरियम और युसुफ के घर बेथलहेम में हुआ था। ऐसा माना जाता है कि उनकी माँ शादी से पहले ही ईश्वरीय प्रकोप से गर्भवती हो गई थी और युसुफ को शादी करने का सपना आया था।

खैर ईसा का जन्म यही हुआ। लेकिन उनको राजा हेरोद से खतरा था। इसलिए युसुफ ने उन्हें मिस्र ले गए। तब राजा हेरोद की मृत्यु हुई तो युसुफ नाथरेज गाँव में आ गए। जब वे 12 वर्ष के हुए तो येरूशलम में तीन तक मंदिरों में उपदेशक के बीच रहे। इस छोटी-सी उम्र में ही उन्होंने सभी सवालों का जवाब दिया। जिससे सभी चकित हो गए। तब वे अपने पिता के साथ पाने गाँव लौट आए और पिता से बढ़ई का काम सीख लिया। जिसे करने लगे।

लेकिन उनका मन उसमें नहीं रमा और भक्ति की तरफ चले गए। 30 की उम्र में यूहन्ना के साथ पानी डुबकी लगाई। फिर ईसा पर पवित्र आत्मा आया। 40 दिन के उपवास के बाद लोगों को शिक्षा देने लगे। दिनों-दिनों उनकी लोकप्रियता बढ़ने लगी।

जिससे और भी धर्म गुरुओं को जलन होने लगी। फिर उनपर झूठी लांछन लगाकर रोमन गवर्नर पिलातुस से उनकी शिकायत कर दी। फिर क्रूर गवर्नर ने उन्हें शूली पर चढ़ा दिया। ऐसा माना जाता है कि शूली पर चढ़ते हुए ईसा मसीह ने सभी मानव का पाप खुद पर ले लिए थे, इसलिए जो उनपर विश्वाश करेगा, वह स्वर्ग में जाएगा।

खैर मृत्यु के तीन बाद ईसा जाग उठे और 40 दिन बाद सीधे स्वर्ग चले गए। तब ईसा के 12 शिष्यों ने इस धर्म के रूप में फैलाया, जिसे ईसाई धर्म कहा जाता है।

क्रिसमस दिवस कैसे मनाया जाता है

इस दिन घर को सजाया संवारा जाता है और घर में क्रिसमस ट्री को लाया जाता है। जिसे वे रंग-बिरंगे फूल-पट्टियों से सजाया जाता है। फिर शाम के वक्त पूरी फॅमिली एकत्रित होकर इस फेस्टिवल को मनाते है।

क्रिसमस ईसाइयों का एक महत्वपूर्ण त्योहार है तथा यह उनके लिए हर्ष और उल्लास का त्योहार है। इस दिन भगवान ईसामसीह का जन्मदिवस था तथा उन्हीं के जन्मदिन की खुशी में यह त्योहार मनाया जाता है। तथा यह त्योहार सबको कल्याण व भलाई का संदेश देता है।

महान संत ईसा का जन्म 2000 वर्ष पूर्व 25 दिसम्बर को जॉर्डन देश के येरुशलम नामक गाँव में हुआ था। ईसा मसीह को ईश्वर का पुत्र माना गया है उन्हीं की याद में ईसाई 25 दिसम्बर को क्रिसमस का त्योहार मनाते हैं। क्रिसमस से पहले लोग अपने घरों की सफाई व पुताई करवा लेते हैं। फिर क्रिसमस के दिन लोग अपने घरों को बल्बों व फूलों से सजाते हैं। इसी प्रकार चर्च को भी सजाया जाता है तथा हर प्रकार की सजावट की जाती है।

घरों व चर्चे पर ईसा मसीह के जन्म के प्रतीक तारे लगाए जाते हैं। कुछ घरों में लोग क्रिसमस-वृक्ष भी सजाते हैं। जिसकी शाखाओं पर रंगीन बल्ब, फूल, टोफियाँ, खिलौने, चाकलेट इत्यादि लगी होती है और रात के समय घर का कोई बूढा व्यक्ति ‘सांताक्लॉज’ बनकर इन उपहारों को बाँटता है। जिससे बच्चे बहुत खुश होते हैं तथा नाच गाना करते हैं। इस दिन सब लोग चर्च भी जाते हैं तथा वहाँ पूजा करते हैं। व वहाँ केक व मिठाइयाँ खाते हैं। इसके बाद सब एक-दूसरे को क्रिसमस की बधाइयाँ देते हैं।

क्रिसमस न केवल ईसाइयों का त्योहार है। बल्कि यह हमें ईसा मसीह के महान संदेश को याद करने की प्रेरणा भी देता है।

क्रिसमस डे ईसाइयों का प्रमुख त्योहार है। यह हर वर्ष 25 दिसंबर को मनाया जाता है। इसे बड़ा दिन भी कहते हैं। ऐसा माना जाता है कि 25 दिसंबर से दिन बड़ा होना आरंभ हो जाता है और रात छोटी होने लगती है।

जिस प्रकार से हिन्दू हर्षोल्लास से दीपावली और होली मनाते हैं, वैसे ही ईसाई क्रिसमस डे मनाते हैं। दुनिया में भारत ही ऐसा धर्मनिरपेक्ष देश है जिसमें प्रत्येक धर्म, जाति और भाषा के लोग रहते हैं। यहाँ पर सभी को अपने-अपने धर्म को मानने और अपनी जीवन-पद्धति के अनुसार रहने की स्वतंत्रता है। यहाँ विभिन्न प्रकार के धर्मावलंबी अपने धार्मिक रीति-रिवाज़ों का पालन करते हुए निडरतापूर्वक आनंदमय जीवन व्यतीत कर रहे हैं। जब मुस्लिम ताजिए निकालते हैं तो यहाँ कोई उनका विरोध नहीं करता, बल्कि भारत सरकार उनकी सुरक्षा का कड़ा प्रबंध करती है। इसी प्रकार जैन, सिख, बौद्ध, ईसाई सभी की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था सरकार करती है ताकि सभी अपने-अपने धर्म का पालन करते हुए प्रेमभाव से मिल-जुल कर रह सकें।

दुनिया के सभी त्योहार और धर्म हमें आपस में एकता, मेल-जोल और शांति से जीने का संदेश देते हैं। क्रिसमस डे के दिन ईसा मसीह का जन्म हुआ था। उनका जन्म एक यहूदी परिवार में फिलिस्तीन में हुआ था। प्रथम शताब्दी ईसवीं (AD) उनके पैदा होने के बाद से ही प्रारंभ हुई थी। उनसे पहले के समय को ईसा पूर्व (BC) कहा जाता है।

जिस प्रकार हिन्दू कृष्ण के जन्मदिवस पर जन्माष्टमी का त्योहार धूमधाम से मनाते हैं, वैसे ही ईसाई क्रिसमस डे हर्षोल्लास से मनाते हैं। भारत एक ऐसा देश है जहाँ प्रत्येक धर्म को सम्मान देते हुए उस दिन राष्ट्रीय अवकाश दिया जाता है। हमारे यहाँ त्योहारों पर उपहार देने की परंपरा है। क्रिसमस डे पर भी लोग आपस में एक-दूसरे को उपहार देते हैं और चर्च (गिरिजाघर) में क्रिसमस डे मनाते हैं। चर्च और अपने घरों को क्रिसमस ट्री, बिजली के बल्बों, फूलमालाओं से सजाते-संवारते हैं। चर्च में मोमबत्तियाँ जलाते हैं। क्रिसमस डे पर अपने घर सान्ता क्लॉज़ का आना बहुत शुभ माना जाता है, जो फादर क्रिसमस का ही स्वरूप है। सान्ता क्लॉज़ अपने साथ बहुत सारे उपहार भी लाता है।

क्रिसमस डे को अर्धरात्रि में घंटियाँ बजने लगती हैं। इस त्योहार पर लोग अपने मित्र, पड़ोसी एवं रिश्तेदारों को बधाई-पत्र भेजते हैं तथा अपने घरों और दफ्तर में केक काटकर क्रिसमस डे मनाते हैं। इस त्योहार पर चारों ओर प्रसन्नता का वातावरण होता है। क्रिसमस डे को सम्पूर्ण ईसाई समुदाय मनाता है। परंतु आजकल बहुत से गैर-ईसाई भी इस त्योहार को मनाते हैं। यह त्योहार विश्व भर में मनाया जाता है। अमेरिका में तो 96 प्रतिशत लोग इस त्योहार को मनाते हैं। यह त्योहार प्रेम, शांति और समृद्धि का प्रतीक है।

They share their wishes with their parents and their parents try to accomplish them on the behalf of Santa.
