PRC Room Assignments for May 2022 Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination

Manila, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced the room assignments for the May 17-19, 2022 Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination (CELE) for testing locations in Manila/National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, CDO, Cebu, Iloilo, Davao, Lucena, and Legazpi.

The licensure exams for Chemical Engineering were administered by PRC and the Board of Chemical Engineering headed by its Chairman, Engr. Ofelia V. Bulaong, and its members, Engr. Jeffrey G. Mijares and Engr. Cyd P. Aguilera.

Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam Coverage

Examination attire.

Male examinees are required to wear a white polo shirt with a collar (without any seal, logo, or mark) and decent pants or slacks.

For female examinees, white blouse or shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark), decent skirt or slacks, and pony-tailed long hair.

What to bring?

Don’t forget the following on examination day:

• Notice of Admission (NOA)
• Official Receipt
• Two (2) or more pencils (No. 1 or No. 2)
• Ball pens with BLACK ink only
• One (1) piece long brown envelope
• One (1) piece long transparent/plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items)
• Health forms
• Negative RT-PCR Test Results, if applicable, or Certificate of Quarantine

Examinees are not allowed to bring books, notes, or similar items to the examination room. Electronic gadgets such as Apple and Samsung products are not allowed either. Bags of any kind are also not allowed inside the examination premises.

Precautionary Measures

The following precautionary measures shall be observed during the conduct of the May 2022 Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam:

• Wearing of face mask and face shield
• Sanitizing using alcohol and hand-based sanitizers whenever necessary
• Physical Distancing of one (1) meter at all times
• Those with fever and cold are not allowed to take the exam
• Observe proper hygiene at all times

CPALE Room Assignments May 2022

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Accountancy releases the list of room assignments for the May 2022 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exam (CPALE) few days before the exams.

The May 2022 CPA licensure exams will be conducted on May 22-24, 2022 at PRC testing centers located in NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

The Board of Accountancy is headed by its Chairman, Noe G. Quiñanola, Vice-Chairman, Marko Romeo L. Fuentes and its members, Gloria T. Baysa, Samuel B. Padilla, Arlyn Juanita S. Villanueva, Thelma S. Ciudadano and Gervacio I. Piatorz.

Room Assignments for May 2022 CPA Board Exams

Examinees are advised to verify the room assignments to the links below or through the notices and announcements to be posted at the PRC official website.

What to bring on the day of exams?

Here are the things to bring during the examination proper:

• Notice of Admission
• Official Receipt
• One (1) piece of metered-stamped window mailing envelope
• Two (2) or more pencils (NO. 2)
• Ball pens (black ink only)
• One (1) piece long brown envelope
• One (1) piece long transparent/plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items)
• Health Forms (Pursuant to Memorandum No. 68, series of 2020)
• Negative RT-PCR Test Results, if applicable, or Certificate of Quarantine or Certificate or copy of the Complete Vaccination Card for fully vaccinated examinees to the submitted to the proctor on the examination day.

What to wear on examination day?

Here are the specified dress codes from PRC:

• For male examinees, white polo shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark); decent pants or slacks
• For female examinees, white blouse or shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark); decent pants or slacks

Allowed and not allowed

• Books, notes, review materials, and other printed materials containing coded information or formulas are not allowed.
• Only basic calculators are allowed. A basic calculator is one which only contains the keys for the basic functions (+, -, x and /). It may also have the memory keys (M+, M-, MR and MC). Calculators with TAX functions are also allowed.
• Apple, Samsung and other smart watches, cellular phones, ear plugs, transmitters, portable computers, Bluetooth and other electronic devices which may be used for communication purposes are prohibited.
• Bags of any kind are not allowed.

Board exams during the COVID-19 pandemic

The following precautionary health and safety guidelines shall be observed at all times during the conduct of the PRC licensure exams:

• Wearing of face mask and face shield. Examinees are also required to bring alcohol-based sanitizers.
• Examination personnel shall be provided with face mask, face shield and latex gloves.
• Observe physical distancing by maintaining 1-meter distance from one another.
• Body temperature will be checked using thermal scanner prior to entry at examination premises. Those with fever, colds or cough are not allowed to take the exams. Their payment will not be forfeited and can be used in the next licensure exam.
• Examinees are advised to bring their food as they will not be allowed to exit the examination room during break time and lunch time.
• Examinees shall sanitize before entering the examination room, after using the rest room and before distribution of test questionnaires.

PRC added that they will not be responsible of any lost personal belongings.

Need po talaga RT-PCR Test/Certificate of Quarantine? How about VACCINATION CARD ID po to present it on testing venue? I ask PRC NCR just a weeks ago na okay na po ang VACCINATION CARD and ganun rin sa other PRC office acceptable na ang VACC CARD ID copy to present it. Bali either of the three po.

PRC Calasiao – REGION 1 : (Rosales Pangasinan)

 Pursuant to DOH-PRC-PNP Joint Administrative Order No. 2021-01, examinees are required to submit EITHER of the following on the examination day:

1.) Negative RT-PCR Test Result. 2.) Certificate of Quarantine issued by any of the authorized officers, attesting that the examinee had undergone 14-day quarantine prior to the examination. 3.) Copy of the Complete Vaccination Card

 Examinees coming from other countries are required to quarantine for fourteen (14) days in any government accredited facility and/or provide a negative RT-PCR /Saliva Test result whichever is shorter.  These requirements are mandatory and failure to present EITHER OF THE THREE, the examinee shall NOT be allowed to take the licensure examination.

ROOM ASSIGNMENTS: October 2023 Chemical Engineer Licensure Exam (Chem.Eng)

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) releases the room assignments for the October 2023 Chemical Engineer Licensure Exam (Chem.Eng)  a few days before the examination.

This year’s 2nd Chemical Engineer Licensure Exam (Chem.Eng) will be conducted on September 18-20, 2023 at PRC testing centers nationwide.

Prohibited Items Inside the Exam Rooms:

• Books, notes, review materials, and other printed materials containing coded information or formulas
• Calculators which are programmable or with embedded functions, especially CASIO FX991ES and CASIO FX-991ES plus
• Apple, Samsung and other smart watches, cellular phones, ear plugs, transmitters, portable computers, Bluetooth and other electronic devices which may be used for communication purposes;
• Bags of any kind (place your documents inside the transparent/plastic envelope)
• Other examination aides not stated in this program

All personal belongings of the examinees shall be surrendered to the proctor and shall be placed in a secured space within the examination room.

The rules on the conduct of bodily search, an inspection of personal belongings of the examinees, and the seizure/confiscation of prohibited items during the licensure exam (Annex A of PRC Memorandum Order No. 57, s. 2020) shall be strictly observed.

• General Engineering, Ethics and Contracts (mathematics, physics, engineering mechanics, strength of materials, engineering economics, and laws, contracts, and ethics)

Room Assignments for October 2022 Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam On October 11–13, 2022, PRC testing facilities in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, and Legazpi will host the Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam. The Chairman of the Board of Chemical Engineering is Mr. Engr. Ofelia V. Bulaong and the group’s members Engr. Shirlyn B. Chua-Reyes and Cezar S. De la Cruz. A few days prior to the exam, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Chemical Engineering publishes a list of room assignments for the October 2022 Chemical Engineer Licensure Exam.

We encouraged that examinees must check the room assignment using the links below or the notices and announcements issued on the PRC website . Here is the schedule for the Chemical Engineering Licensure Exam in October 2022 .

Examinees shall report before 5:30 in the morning on the said date because late comers will not be admitted.

Things to Bring in Chemical Engineer Licensure Examination October 2022

• Notice of Admission
• Official Receipt
• One (1) piece of metered-stamped window mailing envelope
• One or more pencils (No. 2)
• Ball pens (black ink only)
• One (1) piece long brown envelope
• One (1) piece long transparent/plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items)
• Health Forms (Pursuant to Joint Administrative Order No. 01, series of 2020)
• Negative RT-PCR Test Results (if applicable), or Certificate of Quarantine or copy of the Complete Vaccination Card for fully vaccinated examinees to be submitted to the proctor on the examination day.

Not allowed to Bring

• Books, notes, review materials, and other printed materials containing coded information or formulas are not allowed.
• Calculators which are programmable or with embedded functions especially CASIO FX991ES and CASIO FX-991ES plus.
• Apple, Samsung and other smart watches, cellular phones, ear plugs, transmitters, portable computers, Bluetooth and other electronic devices which may be used for communication purposes are prohibited.
• Bags of any kind are not allowed.

Swindlehurst Recognized for Research on Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces

May 14, 2024 - The IEEE Communication Society has awarded the 2024 Fred W. Ellersick Prize to Lee Swindlehurst and colleagues in Europe and China for their research paper titled "Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces for 6G Systems: Principles, Applications, and Research Directions" published in the IEEE Communications Society Magazine in June 2021. The Ellersick Prize recognizes outstanding papers that have appeared in the magazine during the previous three years.

Swindlehurst is professor and chair of the UC Irvine Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. He says the paper is an introductory discussion about reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, which are promising devices for enhancing the coverage, reliability and throughput of next-generation wireless systems. These surfaces can be configured to improve the wireless propagation environment, turning bad connections with dropped calls or poor data transmission rates into much more reliable connections with fast up and download speeds. The surfaces consist of a large number of low-cost passive reflecting elements whose electrical properties can be controlled.

The award will be presented by the president of the IEEE Communications Society during the awards ceremony at the 2024 International Conference on Communications in Denver, Colorado in June.

The exams will be conducted in different parts of the Philippines, including NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Tacloban, and Zamboanga. The exam will take place on October 17 to 18, 2022 for chemists examinees and October 19, 2022 for chemical technicians examinees.

The exam is administered by the Board of Chemists headed by the chairman ADORACION P. RESURRECCION, and members SOLEDAD S. CASTAÑEDA and MA. THERESA C. CAYTON.

Here are the things to bring during the examination proper:

• Official Receipt of payment of application for examination
• Notice of admission
• One (1) piece metered-stamped window mailing envelope
• Two (2) or more pencils (No. 2)
• Ballpens with black ink only
• One (1) piece long brown envelope
• One (1) piece long transparent/plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items)

• Books, notes, review materials, and other printed materials containing coded data/information/formula 
• PROGRAMMABLE CALCULATORS, especially CASIO FX991ES and CASIO FX-991ES plus
• CELLULAR PHONES, EARPLUGS, TRANSMITTERS, PORTABLE COMPUTERS, SMART WATCHES, BLUETOOTH and other electronic gadgets/devices which may be used for communication purposes.
• Any type of bag
• Other examination aides not stated
• For male examinees, a tucked-in white polo shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark) paired with decent pants or slacks.
• For female examinees, a tucked-in white blouse or shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark) paired with decent pants or slacks.

During the PRC licensure exams, the following precautionary health and safety rules must be followed at all times:

• Observe physical distancing of at least two (2) meters between examinees.
• Examinees shall be restricted to their assigned seat;
• Wear face mask (at least 3-ply surgical mask, preferably N95 mask) and face shield at all times; 
• Bring 70% ethyl alcohol for hand disinfection;
• Avoid close contacts like “beso-beso”, hugging, handshake, and directly touching other persons;
• Avoid touching one’s eyes, nose, and mouth;
• When sneezing and/or coughing, facial tissues must be used to wipe the nose and mouth areas. Dispose of used facial tissues properly; and
• Avoid spitting in public, on floors, and along corridors.
